It is the earth element. Because this leads to that, it is said to be in accordance with the non-conceptual, signless, and universally arising. The commentator Asanga explains that the various explanations of the pure aspect taught by Master Asanga are indeed the ultimate intention spoken of in the sutra. 'In accordance' and 'non-conceptual' and so on, are indications of the name of the cause. In the commentary by Master Asanga, it says that if this sutra text is combined with the explanation, then 'ultimate intention' is the name of the result. 'Similarly possessing the pure aspect' and so on, are the names of the cause, and showing the pure aspect is the ultimate reality. Because the sutra separately speaks of the ultimate intention, it shows that 'similarly possessing the pure aspect' is the name of the cause. Thus, the two explanations are inconsistent, so here this sutra text is explained in conjunction with the commentary made by Master Vasubandhu, and if examined, it will be understood. In order to obtain the Dharmakaya, to accomplish completely, and to perfect completely, one holds the abundant cause that is superior and especially surpassing to the higher ones, which is the fifth indication of the result of the cause that is superior to the higher ones. In the *Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra*, it says that one will obtain the complete accomplishment of the Dharmakaya, as well as the supreme cause, the special cause, and the especially surpassing. In the treatise composed by Master Asanga, it says that in order to completely perfect the Dharmakaya and to completely accomplish it, one holds the cause that is superior to the higher ones. In the commentary composed by Master Vasubandhu, it says, for example, the Dharmakaya of the tenth bhumi is called complete perfection. The Dharmakaya of the eleventh Buddha-bhumi is called complete accomplishment. Among all the causes, the cause that generates the Buddha-bhumi is the most excellent and especially surpassing, therefore it is especially surpassing to the higher ones.

It also teaches that one should completely uphold its cause. It is said that in the commentary of 'No Self-Nature,' it is like this: What is the tenth ground is called complete. What is possessed by the Buddha is called accomplished. The cause for obtaining this is supreme and particularly excellent, so it is said to be a particularly excellent cause, because it arises from the previous cause. It is said to be more supreme than the above. Some say that the ten grounds are called accomplishment, and the Buddha ground is called complete, but saying so would contradict the scriptures. Because it is said that the reason for obtaining the Dharmakaya, accomplishment, and completion. It is said that the translation of Gelo and Lanka Putra of the 'Commentary on the Compendium of the Mahayana' will result in the distinction of four fruits, so it will contradict this sutra. Others are in accordance with the model translated by Xuanzang. The words of this sutra have been explained. There are four different distinctions in the scriptures. The first is to establish names without combining them with the fruit, that is, to separately establish the name of the fruit, and not to combine the five practices separately with the five fruits, as it is said in the 'Ornament of the Sutras,'

is obtained through that. What is the fruit of the complete attainment of the Buddha's Dharma? It is obtained through meditating on the absence of characteristics. What is the fruit of the two wisdoms? It is obtained through meditating on spontaneous accomplishment. What is the fruit of definite emergence? It is obtained through meditating on blazing. What is the fruit of complete perfection? It is obtained through meditating on non-attachment to contentment. The fourth is that the name is not established, nor is it combined with the fruit. For example, the teachings from the commentary on the treatise 'Compendium of the Great Vehicle' by the teacher Vasubandhu and Asanga, and translated from its Sanskrit version. In the treatise 'Ornament of the Sutras,' after praising two aspects, it explains the combination with the five fruits. Therefore, in that very treatise, what are the five qualities? In verse, it says: 'Moment by moment, purify all habitual tendencies, body and mind are also extremely tamed, extremely clear and seeing signs, complete and perfectly pure Dharmakaya.' It is said that in the explanation of this, the five qualities are purifying all habitual tendencies, the body being extremely tamed, the mind being extremely tamed, being extremely clear, and seeing signs. Among them, purifying all habitual tendencies is because moment by moment, it causes all aggregates of habitual tendencies to be completely destroyed. The body being extremely tamed is because meditating on extreme taming causes the body to be universally pervaded. The mind being extremely tamed is also the same. Being extremely clear is because one is extremely skilled in all aspects of emptiness, and is free from cessation and number. Seeing signs is seeing the signs of non-conceptualization, because it is the cause of the purity of the latter. 'Complete and perfectly pure Dharmakaya' means that in order to make the body of all aspects complete and pure, these five causes are always manifested. When is it complete and when is it pure? It is said: At the time of the ten bhumis, it becomes complete, and at the time of the Buddha's ground, it becomes pure. Here, the first three of those five qualities
