It is the place traversed by wisdom. In the All-Joyful Garden of the Dharmadhatu, it is said that one obtains joy endowed with equality with non-conceptual wisdom. For the most part, it agrees with the first enumeration explained by Master Vasubandhu. However, there is also a distinction: Master Vasubandhu speaks only from the perception of the Sutra Pitaka and so forth. Master Asanga speaks from the complete abandonment of the perception of the characteristics of the Three Jewels. Among them, what is called 'separation from self' is like this: it is separation from the characteristics of the Buddha and the Sangha. What is called 'separation from Dharma' is separation from the characteristics of the Dharma Jewel. In the translated version of the commentary on the Compendium of the Great Vehicle, it is mostly said to be in accordance with the teachings translated by Xuanzang. However, in the translation of Lang, the latter explanation does not appear, while the others are said to be in accordance with what appears in the translation of Xuanzang. What is called 'knowing correctly the characteristic of the ten directions without distinction and the immeasurable appearance of Dharma' is the third, showing the result of correctly comprehending the appearance of Dharma. In the Sutra Unraveling the Profound Meaning, it appears that one knows the immeasurable limits of the ten directions as they truly are, and correctly knows the immeasurable appearance of Dharma. In the treatise composed by Master Asanga, it appears that one correctly knows the great appearance of Dharma, which is immeasurable in all places and whose nature is completely and perfectly without deficiency. In the commentary composed by Master Vasubandhu, it appears that correctly knowing the ten directions without limit, whose nature is completely and perfectly without deficiency, is like reciting the appearance of letters well, therefore it is called the appearance of Dharma. In the commentary of Master Asanga, it appears that the ten directions are not just this much, they are without limit, and for the sake of entering clearly without any deficiency, it is called the appearance of Dharma, like reciting the appearance of letters well. In the two commentaries, regarding the explanation of the appearance of Dharma, there are also two explanations, saying that some say that by reciting the Sutra Pitaka, one hears this appearance of Dharma and it appears in the mind.

So it is said. Some say that it is called the appearance of Dharma because it is clearly remembered by the mind that focuses on not expressing the collection of names, words, and letters. Furthermore, there are two explanations: Some say that whatever appears as the aspect of reason, which is to be known by hearing later, is called the appearance of Dharma. Some say that whatever view recognizes the characteristics is called the appearance of Dharma. In the two different treatises of the "Great Vehicle Collection," it is said that whatever knowledge clearly sees is called the appearance of Dharma. It is said that being equal to the complete accomplishment, the aspect of purity, the sign of non-discrimination, and the continuous manifestation are called the fourth cause, and the fruit of the manifestation of wisdom is shown. In the "Sutra Unraveling the Profound Meaning," it says that being equal to the complete accomplishment of the activity, the aspect of purity, and the sign of non-discrimination manifest. In the treatise composed by the teacher Asanga, it says that the compatible aspect of purity, the non-discriminating sign, arises universally. In the commentary composed by the teacher Vasubandhu, it is said that, for example, the dharmas that are equal to the complete accomplishment of things are compatible with the aspect of purity, and the signless arises universally. Here, in essence, it is held that whatever obtains the fruit of unsurpassed enlightenment is called the complete accomplishment of things. The teacher Vasubandhu fully understood the intention of the teacher Asanga and only mentioned the cause, while the fruit is distinguished. Therefore, the "complete accomplishment of things" mentioned in the sutra is shown in the words of the commentary, and thus the treatise is explained. In the commentary composed by the teacher Vasubandhu, if this sentence of the sutra is combined with the explanation, then the complete accomplishment itself is the fruit of becoming a Buddha. What follows "equal to..." indicates the name of the cause. In the commentary by the teacher Anabhilata, it is said that what will become a Buddha in the future is the aspect of purity.
