It is taught as a basis. When seeds and appearances are combined into one, it is taught as a collection. Within the collection, only the seeds are diminished, because appearances are not diminished, so it is taught as diminishing and decaying. Furthermore, if the view of the teacher Niḥsvabhāva is said to be in accordance with the teacher Vasubandhu, then in reality there is no contradiction. In the translation of the commentary on the Compendium of Inferior Vehicles by འགབ་ལོ་ (transliteration), it appears in accordance with what was said by the teacher Vasubandhu. In the translation of the commentary on the Compendium of the Great Vehicle during the time of Lang (transliteration), it says that the obscuration of afflictions and the obscuration of knowledge are called bad migrations. All the seeds of completely afflicted aspects in the fundamental consciousness act as the basis for these two. The first moment acts as the immediate cause, and the second moment acts as the path of liberation, so the first moment pacifies the manifest afflictions, and the second moment prevents future afflictions from arising. From this, it is evident that the obscuration of afflictions is abandoned for all. The so-called separation from various perceptions and the attainment of the joy of Dharma-joy is the second teaching of the result of attaining Dharma-joy. In the Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra, it says, 'Completely abandoning various perceptions, one attains the joy of Dharma-joy.' In the treatise composed by the teacher Asaṅga, it also says, 'Separated from various perceptions and attaining joy in the Dharma-courage.' In the commentary composed by the teacher Vasubandhu, it says, 'It is taught in two ways.' The first way is that since the nature of the Dharma, such as the Sutra Pitaka, abides in various things, therefore, whoever completely abandons the perception of such diverse natures has attained the joy of Dharma-delight, because that has become a place of abiding, so it is called delight. This commentary says that this indicates that having abandoned the teachings, one has attained the single taste of Suchness, therefore Dharma-joy is taught. Among them, the nature of the Dharma, such as the Sutra Pitaka, abides in various things.

Regarding the ground, the twelve branches of scripture, such as the Sutra Pitaka, are called the twelve limbs of the sacred word. The twelve inconsistencies reside in diversity. Alternatively, the Dharma of the Sutra Pitaka and others is the teaching that expresses. The nature residing in diversity is the meaning to be expressed. Because of abandoning the clinging to the nature of the diversity of Dharma and meaning, it is said that one attains the joy of universal joy of Dharma. In the second classification, if the meaning is different, then how can one fully grasp the conceptualization and examination of the Dharma? Without generating a coarse and clear experience and individual discrimination, one also experiences through the power of mindfulness of appearance by calm abiding and insight, and what is it that arises as extremely subtle individual discrimination? This is stated in its commentary that this is making the subtle individual discrimination the dominant factor in the meaning of the teachings, and thus showing the joy of universal joy of Dharma. This is from another perspective, showing the three samadhis including conceptualization and examination. Among them, the second samadhi is like this: the experience and individual discrimination that are separated from coarse and clear experience and individual discrimination, and combined with the mindfulness of extremely subtle appearance, are called the experience and individual discrimination that rely on the Dharma of the teachings, and are also called the joy of universal joy of Dharma. The third is the experience and individual discrimination without any mindfulness of the characteristics of all dharmas, therefore it is not called the joy of the joy of Dharma. The commentary on emptiness of nature says that this is because of being separated from the clinging to the characteristics of self, Dharma, and Buddha, etc. Universal joy is like this: here, universal joy by universal joy, because the realm of Dharma is universal joy, therefore it is called universal joy of Dharma. Here, the joy and satisfaction is called the joy of universal joy of Dharma. In order to attain it, one attains the joy of universal joy of Dharma. For example, just as one experiences particularly excellent joy by playing in the universal joy garden or splendid park outside the royal palace, it is the same in the realm of Dharma. This is stated in its commentary that it is non-conceptual.
