Just by that, if one can obtain Śamatha and Vipaśyanā based on mixed dharmas, then the following second part will explain the door of excellently showing the causes and conditions based on mixed dharmas. It can also be called the door of explaining the measure of obtaining what is based on mixed dharmas. This also has two aspects: requesting and asking, and correctly explaining. This is the first part, requesting and asking: If one possesses what causes and conditions, can one obtain Śamatha and Vipaśyanā based on mixed dharmas? This is its summary. The Bhagavan said to the Bodhisattva Maitreya: Son of good family, it should be known that it can be obtained through five causes and conditions. And so on, this is the second part, the Bhagavan correctly explaining. This can also be divided into two: first, briefly answering the number, and then explaining in detail through the five causes and conditions. This is the first part: Because one possesses five causes and conditions, it is called obtaining what is based on mixed dharmas. This is its summary. Regarding these five causes and conditions, it is said in the "Compendium of the Great Vehicle" that through five practices, five fruits will be obtained. From there, because it depends on practice, it is called fruit. Here, because it depends on Śamatha and Vipaśyanā, it can also be called the power of causes and conditions. These five practices are only listed in the "Compendium of the Great Vehicle" and the "Abhidharma Samuccaya". Because there is no detailed explanation, here, if we combine the differences between the "Commentary on the Compendium of the Great Vehicle" by the teacher Asanga and the "Commentary on the Compendium of the Great Vehicle", then it will also appear that the names are listed and detailed explanations are given. Therefore, here, temporarily relying on the commentary of Asanga and so on, we will explain the characteristics of the five practices, and then show the differences of the five fruits mentioned in this sutra. Regarding these five practices, it is said in the "Compendium of the Great Vehicle": For example, when Bodhisattvas on the ground practice Śamatha and Vipaśyanā, they practice in five ways. What are the five? For example, practicing in a mixed way, practicing without characteristics.

, as well as meditating on spontaneous accomplishment, as well as meditating on blazing, as well as meditating on not being content, it is said. In the commentary on this, it says: Tranquility is samadhi, the antidote to distraction. Insight is the antidote to perversion, it is wisdom. Meditating on that aspect from level to level, also meditating again and again with five aspects, the five aspects are meditating on mixing and so on. Among them, meditating on mixing is like this: Gathering all the mixtures into one aggregate, eliminating doubts and meditating, with the meaning of the teachings, the mixtures are gathered into one aggregate, and truly distinguishing reality, whatever is meditating on its meaning, other times when meditating on the object of skeletons and so on, also gathering everything into one, in order to eliminate the thought that one is meditating on mixing, therefore it is said to meditate on no-sign. This shows the second meditating on no-sign, the latter four meditations, although there is a difference in meaning in meditating on mixing, but in order to meditate on the indivisibility of that dharmadhatu that is separated from all signs, this shows the distinction of no-sign completely eliminating things. Meditating on no-sign, even if it is actually no-sign, but if it is thought to be with effort, in order to show that that meditation does not depend on effort, but enters naturally, therefore after that it is said to meditate on spontaneous accomplishment, in order to enter naturally without having to force it. This shows the meditation on spontaneous accomplishment. Although it is a meditation that enters naturally without having to force it, but in order to eliminate the thought that it will become two kinds of superior and non-superior, therefore after that it is said the fourth meditation on blazing, blazing and superior are the same meaning. This shows the meditation on blazing. Some people, after obtaining the meditation on blazing, think that all of this is done, what else can others do? In order to eliminate being content, finally it is said to meditate on not being content, it is not only the meditation on no-sign, spontaneous accomplishment, and blazing that is finished,
