In order to distinguish. Therefore, because he showed the Dharma in the correct way, he became very advanced. Whether explained in detail or briefly, it is fine, because it benefits others and is in harmony with them, so the sutras and verses were spoken. It is said in the scriptures. In the sixth chapter of the Treatise on Reality, it is said that there are six meanings in speaking in verses. In the explanation of the Ten Abodes, it is said that speaking in verses is for one purpose. Because there are too many, it is not shown here. The Buddha spoke of the inexpressible, non-dual meaning, which is extremely profound and not the realm of children. Children are deluded by ignorance and are very fond of talking about the duality of elaboration. If they are uncertain, or wrongly certain, they will wander in samsara for a long time. Because it contradicts correct knowledge and speech, they will be reborn as cattle, sheep, and other kinds. This is called the second, which correctly explains with verses. This verse itself can also be divided into two types. That is, the first half of the verse praises the extreme profundity of the meaning. For example, what the Tathagata said, and the non-dual Suchness, because two kinds are spoken, it is extremely profound and not the realm of children. The latter half of the verse reveals the faults of attachment. This is also revealed in three ways. That is, first, the first two sentences reveal the faults of generating elaboration. The middle two sentences reveal the faults of wandering in samsara. The last two sentences reveal the faults of being reborn in bad destinies. Among them, "Children are deluded by ignorance and are very fond of talking about the duality of elaboration." reveals the faults of elaboration. Duality refers to conditioned and unconditioned. Because it is the place of eight elaborations. Talking elaboration refers to eight kinds of unreal discriminations. That is, children distinguish duality, and because of ignorance, they are deluded by the inexpressible realm.

And it will be shown that they are very happy and manifestly attached to these two kinds of dharmas, conditioned and unconditioned, and to the eight kinds of elaborations. The eight kinds of elaborations are as stated in the Yogacarabhumi-sastra: Furthermore, because children do not fully understand Suchness in this way, eight kinds of discriminations arise from that basis, thereby generating three kinds of objects, and generating all sentient beings and the container world. The eight kinds of discriminations, the first is the discrimination of self-nature, that is, distinguishing the self-nature of all dharmas, and discriminating what is called "form" and so on. The second is the discrimination of particularity, that is, for the object named "form" and so on, discriminating "this can be indicated," "this cannot be indicated," and so on. The third is the discrimination of grasping the whole, that is, for the object named "form" and so on, grasping it as self, sentient being, house, army, forest, and so on. The fourth is the discrimination of thinking "it is me." The fifth is the discrimination of thinking "it is mine," that is, grasping as self and what belongs to self for the objects related to the person, and the dharmas related to the near-taking. The sixth is the discrimination of the hateful. The seventh is the discrimination of the non-hateful. The eighth is the discrimination contrary to the two, that is, the discrimination arising from the beautiful, the non-beautiful, and the objects contrary to the two, in order. This is what the treatise says. Master Xuanzang said that all these eight discriminations are the nature of the wisdom born from the unobstructed and unspecified maturation. Or it is the nature of thought and wisdom. The so-called generating three objects, that is, the first three discriminations are the place for generating the elaboration of discrimination, and the object of focus, the function of the six sense organs and the six objects. The middle two discriminations are the function of generating the view of the aggregation and the pride of thinking "it is mine." The last three discriminations are in order
