Furthermore, what the Teacher spoke and discussed, and what was extensively explained according to the questions asked, this is the first part. Son of good family, for example, a magician or a skilled disciple of a magician, sitting at a crossroads on a major road, gathering together grass, leaves, trees, pebbles, rags, and so on, and performing various magical acts, from here onwards, "various magical acts" refers to the part that extensively explains according to the questions asked. This can be divided into three aspects: explaining by using examples and repeating; and from "such sentient beings" onwards, showing that it is the same as the Dharma text; and from "Son of good family, thus" onwards, concluding and answering the opponent's refutation. The first part can also be divided into three aspects: the example of the objects of illusion, and from "such sentient beings" onwards, showing the example of perceiving delusion as purity; and from "such sentient beings" onwards, showing the example of those who understand also realize that it is not real. The first part, the example of the objects of illusion, can be shown in two aspects: briefly explaining the objects of illusion; and from "for example" onwards, explaining the objects of illusion by distinguishing them in detail. Briefly explaining the objects of illusion can be shown in four aspects: explaining the magician; explaining the place of illusion; explaining with the example of the objects of illusion; and explaining the objects of illusion in general. Because the meaning of these metaphorical expressions in the sutras is difficult to understand, first, the explanation of the teacher, the Truthful One, is presented, and then these sutra words will be explained by combining them with the explanations that follow. In the notes of the teacher, the Truthful One, it says: Here, the meaning of the example is that sentient beings, due to non-real inverted thoughts, discriminate in various ways, remain in samsara for a long time, and experience the ripening of suffering. Because they have not understood the basis of illusion, the inexpressible, and the non-dual Suchness, they cling to it as if it were truly existent. The noble ones clearly understand that this is not truly existent, and use examples to illustrate this. For example, ordinary people

Because the basis of illusion has not been comprehended, and along with ignorance, the wisdom of the noble ones has not yet been attained. The noble ones, however, have comprehended the basis of illusion, non-duality, and the inexpressible nature, and having abandoned ignorance, have attained the noble path. Among them, the illusionist is an example of sharp-witted ordinary beings, namely the non-Buddhists. The illusionist's disciple is an example of foolish ordinary beings, namely those with great desire. Furthermore, the illusionist is an example of afflictions, and the disciple is an example of karma, because karma arises from the driving force of afflictions. Furthermore, the illusionist is an example of the cause, and the disciple is an example of the result. The so-called crossroads of the great road is an example of the three realms, the realm without outflows, and the four forms of birth, old age, sickness, and death. Or it is said to be the four realms of activity. Initially, it is said to be an example of the object, the possessor, and consciousness. Furthermore, from the notes made by the teacher Yandak Den (True Virtue) on the 'Noble Golden Light Sutra,' it is said that the illusionist is an example of the alaya consciousness, which has been doing unreal things since beginningless time. The illusionist's disciple is an example of the seven consciousnesses. Subtle unreal dharmas are manifested by the alaya consciousness. The intermediate ones are by the afflicted mind. The coarse ones are manifested by the six entering consciousnesses. Furthermore, the afflictions of view are the illusionist, and the afflictions of craving are the disciple. Furthermore, the afflictions of the mind are the illusionist, and the afflictions of skin and flesh are the disciple. The so-called crossroads of the road is said to be an example of the meaning of being free from the four slanders. When explained in conjunction with the teachings, the so-called illusionist has four explanations. The first is the explanation from the 'Teaching of the Ten Abiding Dharmas,' which says that karma is the illusionist. The second is from the 'Yogachara Bhumi Sutra,' which says that afflictions and karma are the illusionist. The third is from the 'Collection of Great Vehicle Teachings' and the 'Great Chapter of the Noble Perfection of Wisdom Sutra,' which says that the Bodhisattva is like an illusionist.
