Therefore, whatever arises from conceptualization and is expressed in terms, since the terms expressed by various conceptualizations are completely unestablished, it is said to be not conditioned. This is the third, summarizing that it is neither substantially existent nor unconditioned. Son of lineage, the so-called unconditioned also belongs to the category of terms. This is the second, refuting the nature of the conditioned, which should be understood as before. Whatever is said to be other than the conditioned and the unconditioned, its nature will also become the same. This is the third, refuting the nature of neither the unconditioned nor the conditioned. However, it is impossible for speech to arise from the absence of things, etc. This is the second, showing the explanation of the true reasoning from answering the objections. This is also divided into three: from stating one's own doctrine to refuting the answer, re-examining, and truly explaining. This is the first. What is that thing? This is the second, re-examining. For example, the noble wisdom of the noble ones, and the noble vision, because they are free from names and expressions, they attain perfect enlightenment. In order for others to realize that inexpressible nature of reality, they speak of the imputed name of the unconditioned of consciousness. This is the third, the true explanation of the Bodhisattva. The words of this sutra are also divided into two: first, the noble ones attain perfect enlightenment because they are free from names and expressions. Second, for the sake of others, they indicate it merely by imputation with names and consciousness. The detailed distinction should be understood as before. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva properly inquires, the Bodhisattva inquires about the profound meaning and the definitive explanation of the intention. From here onwards, it shows the previous repeated questions. This is also divided into two: initiating the beginning of the question, and asking the question correctly. This is the first, precisely the beginning of initiating the question. Son of the Victorious One, how is that thing...

The noble wisdom and noble vision of those who have broken away, because they are free from names and expressions, they become fully enlightened, and in order to make others fully realize that inexpressible nature of reality, the imputed names and concepts of "conditioned" and "unconditioned" are spoken, which is to show the second correct question. Although explained extensively, if it is still not understood, then what is its example? This is the final concluding remark. In the sutra of definite explanation of words, this passage of the sutra is missing and does not appear, because it is intended to be concise. In the definite explanation of the profound meaning of the Bodhisattva, from the sentence "The Bodhisattva speaks with proper and complete knowledge," this is to show the sixth instruction by example. This can also be divided into two types, because "conditioned" and "unconditioned" appear, therefore the word "teacher" clearly refers to the Tathagata. In the true sense, there is no dharma that has become a substance, just like illusion and so on, because it is not existent but appears as existent, therefore the teacher said that for the inexpressible, it is only imputed as "conditioned." The words imputed by the teacher are those that arise from conceptualization and are expressed in terms, which is to show the second clinging to the appearance of mere imputation. If it is a word imputed by the Tathagata, then it is produced from the conceptualization of sentient beings, expressed in terms, and follows after names, because it is not true, therefore it is not conditioned. Whatever arises from conceptualization and is expressed in terms is expressed in the terms of various conceptualizations, because it is completely unestablished, therefore it is also not conditioned. This is to show the third repetition of explaining that it is not a substance, and the conclusion of explaining that it is not unconditioned. This shows that because sentient beings, with various conceptualizations, cling to the terms spoken in their minds as truly existent, they are completely unestablished, therefore it is also not conditioned. Among the three aspects.
