Therefore, the sutra below says, "All dharmas are without self-nature," which is said to be "without" in accordance with the intention of the three self-natures. It is not that all of all is without. The gate of meditating on all dharmas as non-dual is to meditate on mere consciousness. Or, to meditate only on the perfectly established nature among the three self-natures. From the three self-natures, meditate on the ultimate truth as without self-nature. The teacher, the truth of reality, said that this is non-conceptual and signless yoga. It is also said that one should meditate on the other-dependent nature as unborn. Here, the gate of non-dual dharma will be explained. The meaning of the Middle Way in eight ways that does not change should be understood as explained elsewhere. The Bodhisattva's Proper Inquiry, in the Explanation of the Determined Meaning of the Profound Thought of the Bodhisattva, and so on, shows the third important question. This also has two aspects: the basis of questioning and answering, and questioning based on the former. This is the first. "Hey, son of the Buddhas, how is it that the conditioned is not conditioned, nor is it unconditioned, nor is the unconditioned unconditioned, nor is it conditioned?" This shows the questioning based on the second and fifth. Having said conditioned and unconditioned before, what meaning is relied upon here to say, "The conditioned is not conditioned, nor is it unconditioned, nor is the unconditioned unconditioned, nor is it conditioned"? What does this mean? In the Explanation of the Determined Meaning of the Profound Thought of the Bodhisattva, what is said to the Bodhisattva's Proper Inquiry, and so on, shows the fourth extensive explanation. This can also be divided into two: the beginning of the explanation, and the correct answer as asked. This is the first. "Son of the lineage, what is called conditioned is a term established by the teacher," and so on, shows the second correct answer as asked. This also has two aspects.

Therefore, it shows the nature of non-duality of conditioned phenomena, and "Son of the lineage, unconditioned," etc., from "teacher" onwards, shows the nature of non-duality of unconditioned phenomena. The first is also shown in two ways: refuting the three characteristics, and from "However, from non-existent things" onwards, explaining in detail the opponent's refutation and showing the correct reasoning. Refuting the three characteristics is also divided into three: refuting conditioned phenomena, and "Son of the lineage," etc., refuting unconditioned phenomena, and "Apart from conditioned and unconditioned phenomena," etc., refuting neither conditioned nor unconditioned, this is the first refutation of the nature of conditioned phenomena. Regarding this sutra passage, the Indian teachers have three different explanations: Some say that this sutra passage is spoken only for the sake of the Tirthikas, because when the first kalpa was formed, the Tirthika teachers merely nominally established the conditioned dharmas. Whatever is nominally established by the Tirthikas is a term that arises from conceptualization. If it is said to be a term that arises from conceptualization, then it is not truly existent from conceptualization, therefore it is not a conditioned phenomenon. Some say that this sutra passage is spoken by the Buddha, because all dharmas are beyond expression, but the teacher, the Bhagavan, nominally established it as conditioned phenomena by the power of great compassion. This is a term that arises from the conceptualization of wisdom after the Tathagata's enlightenment, and later becomes a term of conceptualization of hearing, because it is only a nominal expression, so it is not a substantially existent conditioned phenomenon, therefore it is said that a conditioned phenomenon is not a conditioned phenomenon. The teacher Dignāga mostly explains it in this way. Some people think that this sutra passage has three meanings: the first is conditioned phenomena.

Therefore, this shows that the Tathagata only speaks of nominal designations. Secondly, the words "teacher," etc., show that ordinary people, etc., are only nominally designated, but they are attached to them as real. Thirdly, the words "arising from complete conceptualization," etc., are to repeat that it is not real, and to show the conclusion of explaining that it is unconditioned. Although there are such three explanations, the last explanation is the best. The Tathagata is called the teacher. In the Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra, it says, "The so-called conditioned is only the names and letters spoken by the Tathagata." In the Niruktipada Sūtra, it says, "These are the words spoken by the great teacher's correct teachings." Furthermore, in the Abhidharma, the Blessed One said, "In short, all dharmas are of two kinds." That is, from "This is a nominal designation imputed by the conditioned" onwards, it shows "the second, the nature of the unconditioned as non-dual." This can also be divided into two: negating the three characteristics, and from "However, for non-things" onwards, explaining the refutation by refuting, thereby showing the reasoning of correct reasoning. Negating the three characteristics can also be divided into three: negating the characteristic of the unconditioned, from "Son of good family" onwards, negating the characteristic of the conditioned, and from "Other than the conditioned and the unconditioned" onwards, explaining the characteristic of neither the conditioned nor the unconditioned. This is the first negation of the characteristic of the unconditioned. This can also be divided into three: showing that the unconditioned is only the third imputed by the Tathagata; showing that relying on the third imputed by the Tathagata, one becomes attached to it as real; and concluding that it is not real and not unconditioned. This is the first. There are three explanations for this, which should be understood as before. The words imputed by the teacher are nominal designations arising from complete conceptualization, which are
