Nga. Liberation of mind is attained through a single path, not from everything, therefore it is not called excellent. The second is the distinction from those who are students of this Dharma, although they have attained liberation, they are not liberated because the residue of afflictions remains. The third is the distinction from Arhats who possess the Dharma contrary to non-learners and those who have attained liberation in time, they are not excellent liberation, therefore, Arhats rely on sharp faculties, hence they are called excellent liberation, as it is recorded. The so-called extremely pure morality refers to the fourth quality, which is extremely pure morality. On this, the teacher Near Light explained it in three ways: the first is based on the six branches; the second is based on the absence of outflows; the third is based on the Mahayana. Among them, the explanation based on the six branches is as stated in the commentary on the Buddha-bhumi Sutra: Extremely pure morality, as stated in the Sutra: One who possesses the six branches is called pure morality, that is, abiding in pure morality, restraining oneself with the vows of individual liberation, perfect rituals, perfect conduct, fearing even the slightest faults, and properly taking up the foundations of learning and practicing, and so on. Among them, relying on the absence of outflows, as stated in the commentary on the Buddha-bhumi Sutra: Or, because all have attained morality without outflows, it is called extremely pure. Among them, the explanation based on the Mahayana is as stated in the commentary on the Buddha-bhumi Sutra: In terms of the true meaning, those who abide in the ground of non-learning, completely dedicate themselves to the Mahayana, therefore their own morality is pure, and for the accomplishment of the morality of Bodhisattvas, it is called extremely pure. The so-called indulging in and seeking the bliss of Dharma refers to the fifth quality, which is seeking the bliss of Dharma. On this, the teacher Near Light also explained it in three ways, therefore, the commentary on the Buddha-bhumi Sutra

In that connection, the so-called engaging in the bliss of Dharma and seeking it everywhere is that when seeking the true Dharma everywhere, there is such great bliss, that is, engaging in the Bodhi of the Buddha, and not seeking other purposes. Also, when seeking the Dharma, it is for the sake of making others happy, without the intention of seeking disputes, and completely abandoning bad conduct. For the sake of the true meaning, these great Shravakas wholeheartedly seek the bliss of Dharma, not seeking fame, gain, and respect. Thus it is said. The so-called much hearing, holding hearing, accumulating hearing, is to show the merit of the perfection of wisdom of the sixth much hearing, thus, these three words also use the wisdom of much hearing, in the beginning, middle, and end, and the difference between having difference and having no difference, to make the distinction of the three kinds of words. If it is in accordance with the treatises of the Sarvastivada, then much hearing, recollection, upholding, and purification are the differences of the three kinds of words, thus it is said. Therefore, in the collection of scriptures, the so-called much hearing, holding hearing, accumulating hearing, is like this: initially good, intermediately good, finally good, words and meanings are good, not mixed, completely perfect, completely pure, completely clean, when explaining the Dharma of pure conduct, those Dharmas are perfect in much hearing, and holding hearing, and making the words of the teachings pure. Thus it is said. In the Yogacarabhumi, the initially good is like this: because of generating great joy when listening. The intermediately good is like this: when practicing in the middle, with little effort, completely abandoning the two extremes, and walking in the middle way. The finally good is like this: because of being extremely ultimate, being separated from all defilements, and being free from attachment to everything, and becoming the ultimate of being extremely free from attachment. The good meaning is because of being able to extremely guide benefit and happiness. The good words are like this: skillfully combining the collection of names and so on, and because the pronunciation is clear. The unmixed is like this: not mixed with external heretics and so on.
