In the commentary composed by Asanga, completely pure Suchness is called the Dharma of No-Sign. 'To be absorbed' means to be absorbed in entering. Thus, Suchness is not with sign, because all dharmas are without self-nature, therefore it is with sign. It is also not without sign, because it possesses its own sign. In the commentary on No Self-Nature, thus, Suchness possesses only the sign of the completely established, and does not possess the sign of the completely imputed. Therefore, it is called the sign of non-duality. It is also not without sign, because it is not truly existent. It is also not with sign, because it is without imputation. That Suchness is called supremely pure, because it is supreme among all dharmas, and because it has completely abandoned all adventitious stains. Because Suchness causes itself to enter, and similarly causes others to enter, therefore, Suchness possesses the merit of causing beings to enter into supreme purity. The commentary of Near Light also explains this meaning in the same way. Furthermore, in that very text, in this way, the Bhagavan showed the excellent qualities through the means of taming, considering that the Dharma of No-Sign is Nirvana. The Bhagavan fully understands the means of taming beings in three ways, and according to the capacity of beings, truthfully shows the truth, and causes them to enter into the Dharma of No-Sign. In short, these can be summarized into two explanations. The first explanation shows that Suchness is called No-Sign, because it is free from all signs such as existence and non-existence. The second explanation shows that Nirvana is called No-Sign, because it does not have the ten signs such as form. Seventh Chapter. By the abiding of the Buddha, it is called abiding, which indicates the third quality. This indicates the quality of the Buddha's actions being spontaneously accomplished and continuously abiding. In the commentary composed by Master Vasubandhu.

The so-called "abode of the Buddha" is the absence of abode. Thus, it is said that here, the activity of the Buddha is constant and uninterrupted. The so-called "absence of abode" is non-abiding nirvana. Therefore, in the commentary on the *Mahāyānasaṃgraha*, it says, "The Buddha's absence of abode is manifested in nirvana, abiding in the absence of abode." Therefore, it is abiding in non-abiding nirvana. The so-called "activity spontaneously accomplished" means accomplishing all activities without relying on any intentional effort, like the wish-fulfilling jewel and the drum of the gods in the world. In Vasubandhu's commentary, it says, "Thus, without needing to strive, the activities of the Buddha and the benefit of sentient beings, etc., how the abodes of the noble ones, gods, and Brahmā, etc., abide in accordance without interruption, not abiding with striving like the Śrāvakas, nor having an abode like the Tirthikas, therefore it is not particularly superior." The commentary by Nearing Light also explains this in the same way. Furthermore, in the commentary by Nearing Light, it says, "This shows the Bhagavan's particularly excellent quality of individually knowing those to be tamed, because out of great compassion, he gazes upon the world six times during the day and night." In short, these can be summarized into three explanations: first, abiding in non-abiding nirvana; second, abiding in the noble ones, gods, and Brahmā; third, abiding in great compassion. The so-called "attaining equality with all Buddhas" shows the fourth quality, which is the quality of abiding in the Dharmakāya and not having different intentions and activities. In a different version of the commentary on the *Mahāyānasaṃgraha*, "abiding in that" refers to the Dharmakāya, "intention" refers to the Sambhogakāya, and "activity" refers to the Nirmāṇakāya. Thus, these three are the same and undifferentiated from all the Tathāgatas of the ten directions and three times, therefore they have attained these.

The commentator Asanga says that there are no different places because everything is the nature of completely pure wisdom. There are no different intentions because everything is extremely intent on benefiting and bringing happiness to all sentient beings. There are no different activities because everything accomplishes the benefit of others through both complete enjoyment and emanation bodies. It is not merely thinking, as with the Hearers, and so on. The commentator Near Light also explains this in the same way. Furthermore, Near Light says that this is the Blessed One showing the qualities that are the same as all Buddhas' activities and that are especially excellent. Thus, it is said that because of attaining the equality of acting the same as all Buddhas. Because the activities of the emanation bodies of the Buddhas are the same, it is called equality. Because it has been attained, it is called attainment. Those can also be summarized into three kinds of explanations: The first is the equality of the three bodies of the Buddhas. The second is the equality of the completely pure wisdom, great compassion, complete enjoyment, and the two emanation bodies of the Buddha. The third is the equality of the same activities of the emanation bodies of the Buddhas. The so-called going to a place without obscurations is showing the fifth quality, which is the quality of meditating on the antidote to all obscurations. The commentary composed by the teacher Vasubandhu says that, in this way, because of constantly training in wisdom, it becomes the antidote to all obscurations. The commentator Asanga says that, in this way, because of familiarizing oneself with the nature of the antidote to all obscurations of afflictions and knowledge, the all-knowingness of the noble path, and the mastery of samadhi, one has reached a place that is forever separated from all habitual tendencies. The commentator Near Light also explains this in the same way. Furthermore, it says in that same text that this is the Blessed One having completely abandoned the unfavorable side, especially
