Now, it is to distinguish the characteristics of differences well. Furthermore, bhaga (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) means sound. Ban (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) means existence, which refers to having sound and fame. Furthermore, bhaga (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) means destroying. Ban (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) means power, because it is used in destroying the three times, it is called Bhagavan (bcom ldan 'das). Because the lower vehicles are abandoned, along with their habitual tendencies, therefore it is not called Bhagavan. In the commentary on the Buddha-bhumi, the characteristic of Bhagavan has two meanings: having six qualities and destroying the four maras. Among them, having six qualities, as it is said in that very text, the sound of Bhagavan follows six meanings: the first is the meaning of having autonomy, because it has not become a slave to the afflictions. The second is the meaning of being well-tamed, because it has been completely tamed by the heat of the fire of wisdom. The third is the meaning of being extremely beautiful, because it is well adorned with the thirty-two major marks of a great person, etc. The fourth is the meaning of fame, because all the differences of qualities are complete, so it is known by all. The fifth is the meaning of glory, because it is served and praised by all the worlds. The sixth is the meaning of greatness, because it has all the qualities, it benefits and brings happiness to all sentient beings in every way, and its actions are without deficiency. As the verse says: Autonomous, well-tamed, beautiful, with fame, glory and greatness, these are the six meanings, Bhagavan should be known. As it is said. Among them, destroying the four maras, the klesha-mara refers to the root kleshas and the one hundred and twenty-eight near kleshas, which are called klesha-mara. The five skandhas with defilements are called skandha-mara. The five skandhas with defilements, the characteristics of impermanence, are called death-mara. Furthermore, in the Paranirmitavasavartin realm, those who have obtained power over the Isvara sons of the gods are called deva-putra-mara. These four, because they cause the decline of virtuous dharmas, are called maras.
