The term "at one time" (ས་པ་ལས་དུས་གཅིག་ན་) in Sapa refers to a specific occasion when this sutra was spoken. It is said that at other times, other immeasurable sutras were also taught. This is how it is explained. Secondly, according to the explanation of Master Nagarjuna, there are two types of time: the first is the time of knowing, which is associated with both nominal and real, internal and external phenomena. The second is the time of the destruction of wrong views, which is merely nominal and not real. It is said that this is based on the scriptures of this school. Therefore, in the commentary on the Prajnaparamita, it is asked: The people of India say that there are two types of time: the time of knowing and the time of the destruction of wrong views. Why, then, did the Blessed One not speak of the aspect of the time of knowing, but only speak of the time of the destruction of wrong views? It is answered: If both knowing and the two were spoken of, there would be doubt. It is further asked: The kind of knowing mentioned here, like these two letters, is easy to explain. So, is it because directly saying the time of the destruction of wrong views, as these three letters are heavy and difficult to pronounce? It is answered: Here, it is because of eliminating wrong views that the destruction of wrong views is spoken of, and knowing is not spoken of. The details are as they appear in that text. Thirdly, the teacher Near-Mind (ཉེ་བའི་ཡིད་) says that there are three types of time: the first is when the teaching and listening are completed, it is called "one time." Therefore, in the commentary on the Buddha-bhumi, it is said: "One time" is like the time of teaching and listening. This refers to the general indication of "one time" when the teaching and listening are completed continuously and without interruption in a single moment. If it were not so, how could the times of listening and teaching of letters, names, and words, etc., be the same? This is how it is explained. The second is that in a single moment, one is able to grasp, speak, understand, and fully comprehend, so it is called "one time." Therefore, in that same commentary, it is said: Alternatively, because the listener has attained dharani, in a single moment, a single letter can remember all the categories of Dharma.

for the sake of holding. Or, because the listener's ear faculty is completely pure, when one letter or syllable is completely understood in one instant, there is no obstacle to correctly holding all others, therefore it is called "simultaneous." The third explanation is that mutual gathering and meeting is called "simultaneous." Therefore, in the same commentary, it says, "Or, having gathered and met each other, because there is no difference in the parts of time, it is called 'simultaneous.'" This refers to the meaning of the speaker and listener gathering together and being in the same time. What is the nature of "time and one"? Regarding this, "time" is a part of time, and "one" is a number. The Sarvastivadins and Sautrantikas believe that this is the nature of the five aggregates that are separate from non-existent dharmas. In terms of realms and sources, this is the nature of conditioned dharmas. Here, if combined with the treatises of the Mahayana, there are two explanations. The first is that the treatises of Master Nagarjuna believe that numbers and time, etc., do not have their own nature, so they are not included by the aggregates, realms, and sources. Therefore, the Commentary on the Prajnaparamita says, "The dharmas of numbers and time, etc., are not truly existent, therefore they are not included by the aggregates, sources, and holdings." Furthermore, in the same treatise, it says, "For example, because there are names and letters of separation and gathering in time and direction, one and many, long and short, each ordinary person mentally clings to them and thinks they are real." As explained extensively therein. The second is that the treatises of Holy Maitreya believe that "time and one" is a conditioned dharma, which is merely nominally established in a credible situation, and this is the number and time among the twenty-four non-associated formations. Among the five aggregates, it is included by the aggregate of formations. Among the realms and sources, it is included by the dharma realm and dharma source, because it is the object of mental consciousness. The commentary on the Holy Buddha Land says:
