The following, starting with "Where is it?", is the second, explaining by repeating with examples. This also divides into three aspects by showing the three aspects of non-self-nature. This is the first, showing the example of characteristic non-self-nature. For example, like a flower in the sky appearing as a characteristic of a flower in the sky due to dizziness, but in reality, there is no flower in the sky from the beginning, so it is also considered to be the same, because the examination itself has no self-nature from the beginning. Therefore, the characteristic non-self-nature itself should also be understood in the same way, it is said. For example, just as something created by magic, the non-self-nature of birth should also be understood in the same way. One aspect of the ultimate non-self-nature should also be understood in the same way. This is the second, the example of the non-self-nature of birth itself and one aspect of the ultimate non-self-nature. As it is said in the Sutra of the Abhidharma, "The place of the eight examples such as illusion is the extreme manifestation of other-nature." Like that. Here, the second, the non-self-nature of birth itself and one aspect of the ultimate non-self-nature are the nature of other-nature, therefore it should be understood like the form of illusion. In the Sutra of the Perfection of Wisdom of the Noble One, etc., illusion etc. are shown as examples of the meaning of emptiness. Why is it shown as an example of other-nature in this sutra? Answer: Illusion etc. also have two meanings. The first is that it is not existent, but appears as if it exists; the second is that there is no true form etc. Therefore, there is no contradiction because the sutra itself separately mentions each meaning. For example, the sky is completely separated from the non-self-nature of various forms, and like being universally present, one aspect of the ultimate non-self-nature should also be understood in the same way, because it is completely separated by the non-self of phenomena and is universally present. This is the third, the example of one aspect of the ultimate non-self-nature. For example, the thing called sky has two meanings: completely separated because of the absence of form.

and pervades all places. The ultimate meaning of suchness, the absence of inherent existence, should also be understood in the same way. Firstly, it is because it is well distinguished by the absence of self of phenomena; secondly, it is because it pervades everything. As in the Sutra of the Noble Buddha, the ten similes of space are used to show the purity of the realm of phenomena, and it is the same here. In the Dhammapada Sutra and the Treatise Yogacarabhumi, only the absence of form and the absence of place are called space, while in the commentary on the Buddhahood Bhumi and the Treatise Vijnaptimatrata-siddhi, it is said that the absence of place of the skandhas is called space. How should this be understood? Answer: The Yogacarabhumi and the Dhammapada Sutra, etc., are explained from the perspective of leading, which is consistent with those who say that all phenomena exist. However, the Treatise Vijnaptimatrata-siddhi, etc., are explained from the perspective of the true meaning, because each speaks of different meanings, so there is no contradiction. Noble son, I, based on these three kinds of absence of inherent existence, have declared that all phenomena are without inherent existence. This is the general conclusion after the third part has been explained. Chapter 25. The ultimate truth should be understood as follows: I, based on the absence of inherent existence of characteristics, have declared that all phenomena are unborn, unceasing, peaceful from the beginning, and naturally completely liberated from suffering. From this point onwards, it is the second kind of absence of inherent existence, starting from the beginning and the end, explaining the words of the explanation of all phenomena being unborn, unceasing, etc. This also has two aspects: explaining the words of unborn etc. starting from the absence of inherent existence of characteristics, and starting from the words "noble son", explaining in detail the words of unborn etc. starting from the absence of inherent existence of ultimate truth. The first is also divided into four types: summary, examination, detailed explanation, and conclusion. This is the first, summarizing the text itself with reason, that is, the unborn etc. mentioned in the scriptures are in terms of the absence of inherent existence of characteristics.
