And, the other's independence, saying that these two exist, and the complete imputation in that very reality, and the other's independence, saying that these two do not exist, because they do not exist, it is not right to say that they exist, and it is not right to say that they do not exist, from such saying to the extensive explanation. The other's independence is also included, therefore it does not agree with this. Because of cause and condition, it is ultimate reality without self-nature, this is the fourth conclusion, it is just words. If combined with this sutra, ultimate reality and no self-nature also become two. If it is the other's independence and the perfectly established, then why does the Thirty Verses say that it shows that the latter is not and the former is? Answer: Because it truly has two meanings. In this sutra and the explanation of the treatises, because the self-nature of the other's independence does not have ultimate reality, it is also said that ultimate reality is without self-nature. The treatises do not show the former, it is from the inside of the treatises' establishment of only consciousness, as said by the teacher Dharmapala, as it is said, the second one also becomes included, therefore it is not said here, like this showing in general. In this sutra, from the three self-natures themselves, it is established as the three no self-natures themselves, if the self-nature becomes the three self-natures, then why when showing the three no self-natures in the treatises, from one suchness, the three no self-natures are established, therefore relying on that very self, these three self-natures are spoken of, because of the three no self-natures, it should be known that in the meaning of no birth, it is one. The completely imputed is the characteristic no self-nature, therefore it is said to be no self-nature. The other's independence is the birth no self-nature, therefore it is said to be no self-nature. The self-nature of the perfectly established, because it is ultimate reality without self-nature, it is said to be no self-nature, as it is shown in detail in that very place. If you ask like this, answer, there are two kinds of explanations for this, the first is the teacher True Dharma says, because the self-nature is completely accumulated on one suchness, therefore the three kinds of self-nature are spoken of, among them the self-nature of the perfectly established.

is encompassed by the truth of imputation. The three types of selflessness are not imputed, as it appears from the treatise "Explanation of the Three Natures." The second view is that of Master Xuanzang, who says: From the treatise "Discrimination," relying on the three natures, the three selflessnesses are imputed, and one clings to that as reality. Why is that? Because in the "Thirty Verses" composed by Master Vasubandhu, it says: "Nature is of three kinds, in the three selflessnesses, intending that all phenomena are taught as selfless." This is because in the commentary explained by Master Dharmapala, it says: "Because it is said that both existence and non-existence are selfless, it is called intention." Furthermore, the treatise "Discrimination" was composed by Master Asanga, and like the "Compendium of the Great Vehicle," it teaches one meaning. Furthermore, from the "Yoga Practice Ground Treatise," this sutra is extensively shown within its scope, and it also shows existence and non-existence through the three natures, therefore, it should be known that the treatise teaching the three selflessnesses was translated incorrectly by the translator. Why is that? Because both the "Thirty Verses on the Establishment of Consciousness Only" and the "Teaching of the Three Selflessnesses" were composed by Master Vasubandhu, why would these two treatises have such differences? Furthermore, Master Vasubandhu relied on the treatises of Noble Maitreya and Master Asanga, therefore, the statement that selflessness is the same seems to be a mistake in the translation by Paramārtha. Here, if we compare the "Teaching of the Three Selflessnesses" translated by Paramārtha, the treatise says that it was composed by Master Asanga, therefore, it is also possible that Master Paramārtha extracted and translated a chapter on teaching selflessness from the "Discrimination" and published it separately. Son of good family, just like a flower in the sky, the selflessness of characteristics is also the same.
