The teaching is expounded through the practice of yoga. Like this, from "Source of Merit" onwards, by repeating the previous yoga and asking, this is the answer to the previous question. First, it is also divided into three: explaining the characteristics of bodhisattvas who have understood the three natures; from "Son of the Lineage" onwards, explaining that by knowing the three natures, one will understand the three characteristics; from "Son of the Lineage" onwards, explaining that by knowing the characteristics, one will abandon all defilements and manifest purity. Although there are two explanations, here, for the time being, the explanation is based on the latter. This is the first explanation of knowing the three natures, because the three natures themselves are different, so it is divided into three from them. This is the first, like this, because the object to be expressed and the name that expresses it are mutually related, therefore, due to the unreal imputed characteristic, it will be thoroughly understood that this is the completely imputed. Therefore, in the Treatise on the Grounds of Yoga Practice, if one observes what the nature of the completely imputed is aimed at, the answer is: it should be understood that it is aimed at the connection between the sign and the name. To distinguish extensively, it should be understood as it appears from the treatises that explain the three natures of non-self. Likewise, from there it says that the nature of complete imputation is not included in the five dharmas such as name, because it does not have the characteristic of self-nature. If there is no self-nature, how does one distinguish? The answer is: because it is only a name, there is no meaning. Why is that? For example, worldly people establish names from meanings, and people are attached to names, thinking that this is the nature of meaning, saying that the name is the nature of meaning, like this, it is reversed, it is only distinguishing names, because there is no real self-nature. Why is that? Because the name and meaning are mutually accidental to each other. What will be revealed in this way? Because there are three kinds of meanings, this meaning will be known, the thought of name will not arise, and many contradictions will be avoided.

faults, and the faults of various contradictory natures." It is said like this, in detail as it is said in that very place. The treatise "Compendium of the Great Vehicle" also teaches in accordance with this. Because of the condition of manifestly clinging to the nature of the dependently arisen as the nature of the completely imputed, it is said that the nature of the dependently arisen is well understood, which is the second explanation of the nature of the dependently arisen. In this way, because of the condition of manifestly clinging to the nature of the completely imputed as the very nature of discrimination, the nature of the dependently arisen arises. Therefore, in the treatise "Explanation," it says, "Because of manifestly clinging to the nature of the dependently arisen as the very first nature, after generating complete imputation, pervasive afflictions manifestly accomplish." It is said like this. Other Also, it is said there that because of generating manifest clinging to the nature of the completely imputed, it is well understood to be dependently arisen. Thus, whatever is manifestly clung to is born from conditions. In the treatise "Showing the Nature of the Buddha," it is asked, what are the causes and conditions by which the nature of the other is manifestly accomplished? It is said in reply, "Because of manifestly clinging to the nature of pervasive discrimination, it becomes very clear." If the dependently arisen belongs to either pervasive affliction or purification, why is it that because of the condition of manifest clinging, the nature of the dependently arisen is well understood? The answer to this disputant is just as it is taught in the treatise "The Ground of Yoga Practice." Therefore, it is said there, "If the nature of the dependently arisen is also included by true wisdom, then the nature of the dependently arisen will be known by relying on manifest clinging to the nature of the completely imputed." It is asked, "How is that?" It is said in reply, "That is considered from the aspect of the dependently arisen nature of pervasive affliction, but not from the aspect of purification. It should be understood that the aspect of purification is known by relying on the absence of manifest clinging."
