And discrimination are included. The completely imputed is only name included. True wisdom and, Suchness is said to be included by the thoroughly established, from which whatever is the aspect of the cause of the mind and mental events that are combined with defilements is called the cause. The other is called discrimination. The completely imputed is said to be merely a name because it is shown to be non-existent because it has no nature of its own. The two are shown to be included by the thoroughly established because they are not inverted. In the Holy Lankavatara Sutra, it says: The nature of other-powered, Only discrimination is included. The completely imputed includes cause and name. True wisdom and, Suchness is said to be included by the thoroughly established, from which, the cause of mind and mental events, and all such as aspects of views are called discrimination. Because it has become the nature of unreal, completely imputed, whatever is said by the completely imputed and what is to be said is established according to the mind, that is shown as the two things of name and cause. In the commentary on the Summary of the Great Vehicle, made by the teacher Vasubandhu, name is understood as the nature of other-powered. The meaning is said to be understood as the nature of the completely imputed, from which, the cause of mind and mental events combined with defilements, and the aspects of views, etc., are manifested by the power of the strength of the name, therefore it is said to be name. After the name of the completely imputed, it is only emphasized and grasped, but the nature is not truly existent, it is only accumulated and shown as meaning. Among the four teachings mentioned above, the five objects and, the three natures are said to be mutually inclusive, and the words seem inconsistent, but there is no contradiction in meaning. The teacher Dharmapala said that the first statement is the most excellent, because it is not mixed. In other treatises, only established in consciousness-only, in the Holy Scriptures, it is said that there are five characteristics, these and the nature

Thirdly, how do they mutually include each other? That is, the object to be expressed and the expressing subject each possess three self-natures, as follows: What is examined by non-reality is included by the first self-nature, and the reasons, names, and discriminations should be applied accordingly. The object to be expressed and the expressing subject belong to other-dependence, and suchness and true wisdom should be applied accordingly. The object to be expressed and the expressing subject belong to perfect reality, because the characteristic of the expressing subject obtained from the subsequent is like that. The two characteristics belong to the cause, so they are only included by the first self-nature, and the meaning and name examined by non-reality must be related to each other. Therefore, the characteristic of manifest attachment is other-dependence, because the discrimination of non-reality is its self-nature. The characteristic of non-manifest attachment is perfect reality, because the uncontaminated wisdom and so on are its self-nature. This is what the scriptures say. In the Treatise on the Stages of Yoga Practice, it is also said that the two self-natures are the objects to be expressed. The self-nature of complete imputation is the expressing subject. In the Treatise on Discrimination, it is said that both the expressing subject and the object to be expressed belong to the three self-natures. The detailed distinction appears in the commentary on the Treatise on Establishing Consciousness Only, and should be understood accordingly. Furthermore, the source of merit, because the connection of characteristics and names becomes a condition, therefore, fully understanding the characteristic of complete imputation, from here onwards, starting from the second gate of examination, the Bodhicitta of the wise is explained in detail. This is also divided into two types: explaining extensively in prose, and briefly explaining in verses. The first is also divided into two types: briefly distinguishing the characteristics, thereby encouraging others to understand; and starting from the aforementioned three characteristics, correctly explaining the path of yoga practice. In other methods of explanation, it is explained by dividing it into two types:
