It is shown by the example of being in accordance with green. That which is called "emerald" (Tibetan: མརྒད་) is left untranslated because this place has no name. Some say that it is called "the jewel that destroys colors," because the power of this jewel destroys and deteriorates all colors. Green appears from the Sutra Unraveling the Profound Meaning. If it encounters yellow, it will appear like gold, and because it is mistaken for real gold, it will also confuse sentient beings. This is the fourth example of being in accordance with yellow. "Gold" also appears in the Sutra Unraveling the Profound Meaning and the Vaibhashika, and from it appears "a jewel that has become the color of gold." The latter three examples should also be understood as before. Similarly, as it is said in the Source of Qualities, just as a completely pure crystal is associated with color, so too should the habitual tendencies of the terms of the imputed nature on the other-powered nature be understood. From here on, this is the second part that shows the combination of example and meaning. This is also combined with the previous four meanings, so it is divided into four: combined with the seed, combined with the imputation of nature, combined with the other-powered, and combined with the thoroughly established. These four meanings also correspond to the five examples previously mentioned, but because they possess four meanings, they should be combined with the previous examples by the four meanings. This is the first. There are also two explanations for these four meanings: Some say that the first one is to grasp at the object. The latter three are combined with the three natures in order. Some say that the first two are examples of the imputed nature, just as due to the power of the seed, the imputation appears, and it is manifestly established as the imputation itself. This is the first. For example, because the crystal is associated with color, just as an image such as blue appears on the crystal, so too, on the other-powered, because it is not real, it is imputed.

Because it is caused by the seed's cause and condition. In the Alaya consciousness, the characteristics of other-dependent nature, such as form and sound, appear. Just as in a completely pure crystal, there is a mistaken perception of Indranila (ཨནད་རྙིལ་,梵文天城体:इन्द्रनील,梵文罗马拟音:indranīla,汉语字面意思:blue sapphire), Mahaneela (མཐོན་ཀ་ཆེན་པོ་,梵文天城体:mahānīla,梵文罗马拟音:mahānīla,汉语字面意思:great blue), Padmaraga (པདྨ་རཱ་ག་,梵文天城体:padmarāga,梵文罗马拟音:padmarāga,汉语字面意思:red lotus), emerald (མརྒད་,梵文天城体:marakata,梵文罗马拟音:marakata,汉语字面意思:emerald), and gold, etc., so too should the characteristics of the other-dependent nature be understood as the characteristics of the completely imputed nature. This is the second similar characteristic, because it is imputed. They are perceived as real. For this reason, the former two are examples of the completely imputed from the three aspects of meaning. Just as that completely pure crystal jewel, so too should the characteristics of the other-dependent nature be understood. This is the third connection with the other-dependent nature. Just as a completely pure crystal appears as blue, etc., so too, due to the power of the seed, the characteristics of form, sound, etc., also appear in the same way in the other-dependent nature. Just as the Indranila (ཨནད་རྙིལ་,梵文天城体:इन्द्रनील,梵文罗马拟音:indranīla,汉语字面意思:blue sapphire), Mahaneela (མཐོན་ཀ་ཆེན་པོ་,梵文天城体:mahānīla,梵文罗马拟音:mahānīla,汉语字面意思:great blue), Padmaraga (པདྨ་རཱ་ག་,梵文天城体:padmarāga,梵文罗马拟音:padmarāga,汉语字面意思:red lotus), emerald, and gold, etc., which are present in that completely pure crystal itself, are not completely established at the time of permanence and constancy, and are truly without self-nature, etc. This is the fourth connection with the perfectly established nature. This also has two aspects: repeating the previous example and showing it, and combining the example with the meaning. This is the first. Whatever is not truly present, such as blue, etc., in the crystal is also called the perfectly established nature. It is also called truly without self-nature. Or, what is called not completely established is the negation of blue, etc. What is called truly without self-nature shows that although there is no blue, etc., it is not truly without the self-nature of the crystal. On the characteristics of the other-dependent nature, the characteristics of the completely imputed nature are not established at the time of permanence and constancy, and should be understood as the characteristics of the perfectly established nature by their own nature. This is the second combination of example and meaning. Whatever is without self-nature, such as the self imputed on the other-dependent nature
