transforms. For example, the preceding and following moments of past time become the past and the future, and the intermediate one becomes the present. Because the future and the present are also the same as that. Among the four statements, the best is that the states are different because of doing so, and the states are not the same. The establishment of time is also different. For example, when dharmas do not act, that time is called the future. When they act, that time is called the present. When they have acted and ceased, that time is called the past. Because they think that the entities are not different. If that is the case, then if the sense faculties such as the eyes that exist now are also gathered by equal shares, then what is their function? Is it not said that they can receive fruits and produce fruits? The scriptures are explained in detail, and the correct reasoning is also in accordance with what is said in the Abhidharma-kośa. Second, the Sutra Division The divisions that take the sutras as a measure establish that all dharmas have no self-nature, the present time exists, and the two times do not exist. Such as Kumārata and Śrīrāta. Many other teachers who speak differently should be understood as arising from what is in accordance with the correct reasoning of the scriptures. Volume 3 Among them, the second is the absence of characteristics, and the third is the definitive meaning. The characteristics of these two are also different, as stated in the commentary on the Yogācārabhūmi-śāstra. As it says there, after the Buddha's nirvāṇa, the work of the demons greatly stirred. The holders of the divisions rose up separately, and most were attached to the view that it was the stirring itself. Therefore, the Bodhisattva Nāgārjuna, having attained the Joyful Ground, relied on the Mahāyāna scriptures of signlessness and emptiness, and composed treatises such as the Madhyamaka-śāstra, extensively explaining the meaning of reality, and thoroughly refuting those who held the view of existence. Āryadeva and others are known as great teachers of treatises.

They created extremely extensive treatises, such as the Śataśāstra (Treatise on One Hundred Verses), and widely explained important meanings. Therefore, sentient beings are overly attached to the view of emptiness. The Bodhisattva Asaṅga, having attained the first bhūmi, directly realized the samādhi of the light of Dharma, possessed great magical powers, and directly saw the face of the noble Maitreya, requested the explanation of the Yogācārabhūmi-śāstra (Stages of Yogic Practice). Here, there is nothing that is not exhausted in knowledge, nothing that is not consumed in objects, nothing that is not explained in words, nothing that is not expressed in meaning, nothing that is not dispelled in doubt, nothing that is not destroyed in individual attachments, nothing that is not practiced in conduct, and nothing that is not manifested in results. It is said that it is widely explained for the sake of Bodhisattvas and other vehicles until the end. Thus, from that commentary, two types of treatises have already been explained, but each of those two types of treatises also has three explanations. Among them, for the treatise on non-characteristics, three teachers taught as follows: Some say that it is necessary to explain the three natures in detail from the three natures, such as bha bya, etc. Therefore, in the Treatise 'A Rosary in the Hand' it says: 'Actions compounded by true nature are empty, like illusions, because they arise from conditions. The uncompounded is also not truly existent, like a flower in the sky that has not appeared.' Some say that not only should the two natures be completely sought, but the perfected nature should not be sought. Therefore, it is a search that investigates the sutras, but it is not to completely search for the Dharma. Some say that among the three natures, only the completely imputed should be sought. For example, just as this sutra from below explains the three types of non-nature, it is like explaining the search for the completely imputed. Although there are these three explanations, the view of the teacher Xuanzang is that the latter explanation is correct. Regarding the definitive meaning of Bodhisattva Maitreya, there are also three explanations. Among them, the first is that the teacher Yaṅdag Bdenpa (True Reality) says, the nature
