In the commentary by Vasubandhu, it is said, 'It arises from its own causes and conditions, and even if it arises, it cannot remain even for a moment, so it is called dependent origination.' In the commentary by Master Asanga, it is said, 'For example, it arises from the seed that is completely impregnated by the manifestation of complete imputation, and because others arise relying on their own seeds, it is called dependent origination.' This shows that its nature arises relying on others. 'Even if it arises, it cannot maintain its nature for more than a moment,' this shows that its nature remains relying on others. Therefore, it is called dependent origination.' There, the 'abiding' is also said to be 'after arising, from one moment onwards, the time of existing separately relies on other ways of abiding,' if combined with the meaning explained by the supreme master. In the text taught by Master Dharmapala, it is said, 'The arising itself has function even for a moment, so it is said to be the abiding of meaning.' This shows that conditioned dharmas arise, grow, and occur relying on causes and depending on conditions, so it is called dependent origination. Therefore, in the Thirty Verses, it says, 'The nature of dependent origination is discrimination, arising from conditions.' In the commentary by Master Dharmapala, it says, 'Dependent origination is called dependent origination because it arises from conditions.' Third, the so-called perfectly established nature is said in the Summary of the Great Vehicle, 'Because it does not change into other, because it is a pure object, because it is the most excellent of all virtuous dharmas, it is called the perfectly established nature in the most excellent sense.' In the commentary by Master Vasubandhu, it says, 'Because it does not change into other, there is no false object, just like a minister without falsehood.' 'It is called perfectly established in the most excellent sense,' for example, because it is a pure object, because it is the most excellent nature, it is called perfectly established. Master Asanga

In the explanation of the Anattalakkhana Sutta, it says that it is the nature of complete accomplishment and suchness. In short, no examples are given. Others are consistent with the teachings of Master Vasubandhu. The Treatise on Mere-Consciousness states that the distinction between emptiness, the suchness of dharmas, complete perfection, and complete accomplishment is called complete accomplishment. This shows that not everything is imputed, nor is it a false self, but it distinguishes between self-characteristics and general characteristics, as well as space and self, etc. Therefore, the so-called distinction by the two emptinesses is a brief explanation of the nature, and because it has three meanings, it is called complete accomplishment. The first is complete perfection. This shows the meaning of universality, distinguishing from the self-characteristics of form's obstruction, etc. The second is complete accomplishment. This shows the meaning of permanence, distinguishing from the general characteristics of impermanence, etc. Although they are general characteristics, they are not permanent. The third is the suchness of dharmas. This shows that it is not false, distinguishing from space and the self of non-Buddhists, etc. Although they are constantly pervasive and shown as permanent, they are false. Furthermore, the Treatise on Mere-Consciousness states that the unpolluted aggregate, completely separated from inversion and eternity, with special abilities, and universally present, also obtains this name. This sutra is the first to be taught, but the latter is not. Therefore, the explanation of obtaining the name is that everything has the explanation of completely grasping from the activity, because everything from the imputed to the completely accomplished is the nature. What is the imputed nature of dharmas? From this point onwards, the second is to distinguish and explain the three natures in order, and by distinguishing and explaining the three natures themselves, they are divided into three. The first nature is also shown by asking and answering, and this is the first question. For example, all dharmas...

That which, for all things, distinguishes names and terms, and to what extent subsequent designations are applied to one's own nature and differences, is called the second answer. Just as all dharmas do not actually have their own nature, but through the action of the unreal mind, names and terms establish the self and the self-nature of dharmas. For example, some say "This is me," or call form and other things the self-nature of self and dharmas. Some say "This is the imputed self, this is the real self, form is visible, form is invisible," and so on, distinguishing between self and dharmas in this way. Therefore, by distinguishing self-nature and differences through terms, sentient beings in the world make subsequent designations. In the Treatise on Mere-Consciousness, it is said that because of the unreal, the self-nature and differences of self and dharmas are established on the aggregates, sense bases, realms, and so on. Therefore, because of the unreal, whatever is established as self-nature or difference is, in short, called the completely imputed nature. For a detailed explanation of the meaning of self-nature and difference, refer to the commentary on the Compendium of the Great Vehicle, written by Master Vasubandhu and Master Asanga, and as explained in the Yogācārabhūmi-śāstra. What is the characteristic of the dependent nature of all dharmas? etc., this is the second explanation of the dependent. This is also explained through questions and answers, this is the question. Just as the dependent arising of all dharmas, that is, this exists because that exists, this arises because that arises, for example, ignorance conditions actions, until the arising of the entire great mass of suffering, this is called the second answer. This sutra passage can also be divided into two types, the first is the nature of the general characteristic, that is, from dependent arising arises all defilements of afflictions, karma, and birth, arising from conditions.
