The self and what is held as self to be abandoned by meditation. The self-grasping of complete imputation is the self and what is held as self to be abandoned by seeing. From the seeds that manifest from being completely habituated by the two types of self-grasping, sentient beings differentiate between self and other. The habitual imprint of the limb of craving is like this: it is the seed of karma that draws the maturation of the three realms. The limb of existence is also of two types: wholesome deeds with outflows are the karma that draws desirable fruits. Unwholesome deeds are the karma that draws undesirable fruits, as it is said. The characteristics of the three habitual imprints should be understood as they appear in the treatises. All three habitual imprints are also explained separately by making them subject to their possessor, like this, because they are the seeds of the habitual imprint of manifestation, and similarly, because they are the seeds of the habitual imprint of the limb of existence. Therein, showing the nature is also as previously explained, whatever seed is completely habituated by the two types of manifestation is called the habitual imprint of manifestation. Whatever seed is completely habituated by the two types of self-grasping is called the habitual imprint of self-grasping. Similarly, whatever seed is completely habituated by wholesome and unwholesome karma is called the habitual imprint of the limb of existence, the seed is thus differentiated, so it is only a seed and not manifest. If the nature of the three types of dharma is shown, then the habitual imprint of manifestation, in terms of the five aggregates, the seed of one side is the nature of the five aggregates, because everything is equally included in the aggregates except for what is produced by the seed of no outflow. Also, in terms of the sense bases and elements, one side is the nature of the seeds of the twelve sense bases and the seeds of the eighteen elements, except for the seed of no outflow, it should be understood like the aggregates. Also, the habitual imprint of self-grasping, in terms of the five aggregates, is included in one side of the aggregate of formations. In terms of the sense bases and elements,

Also, it is the nature of one aspect of the dharma-sphere and the dharma-realm. The habit of the limb of craving, from the perspective of the five aggregates, is the nature of both the form aggregate and the formation aggregate, because it is the form aggregate, and because the seed of the mind's thought-karma is included in the formation aggregate. From the perspective of the sense bases and realms, it is the nature of one aspect of the form sense base, the sound sense base, the dharma sense base, the form realm, the sound realm, and the dharma realm. After showing the nature of the dharma's categories, the habit of manifestation and expression, from the perspective of the hundred dharmas, creates the image of the nature of the seeds of the hundred dharmas, because all those hundred dharmas are also fully ripened seeds. The habit of self-grasping is the nature of the view of the perishable collection (satkayadrishti) from wisdom and the ten afflictions, arising from the determination of each object. The habit of the limb of existence is the nature of the two dharmas of form and sound from the eleven kinds of form, and the karma of thought arising from the mind, because it is the karma of speech and thought. Regarding this, there are also two ways to show the distinctions for the sake of producing results: as it appears in the treatise "Establishment of Consciousness Only," generally showing the production of results starting from all dharmas, and as it appears in the treatise "Compendium of the Great Vehicle," starting from the eleven kinds of consciousness, differentiating the production of results. Among these, generally showing the production of results starting from all dharmas, the habit of manifestation and expression generally produces the eight dharmas, and the distinction in this is that the nature of those ninety-four dharmas, and all images are produced by manifestation and expression. The nature of the six kinds of unconditioned dharmas, and the images are not produced from the seeds of the six kinds of nature because they are dissimilar, because the fully established unconditioned is the meaning of non-arising. The six kinds of images are all produced from manifestation and expression, and the other, independent unconditioned is truly conditioned, because it depends on causes.
