Knowing purity as it is, is called deeply entering into emptiness. Where is what not? That is, in the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, there is no self or what belongs to self, etc., which are characterized by permanence, stability, integrity, and immutability. Therefore, all of them are empty by that reasoning. What remains there? That is, where there is no self-nature, in that way, although there is no self, there is selflessness, which is called emptiness, as it is said. Furthermore, in the Treatise on the Accomplishment of Reality, the Sutra on the Seal of Dharma says: Yogis should meditate on form as impermanent and empty. Among them, impermanence is like this: form is impermanent by its very nature. Emptiness is like this: just as there is no water inside a pot, it is called an empty pot, in the same way, the five aggregates are called empty because there is no knowing self in them, as it is said. Furthermore, in the same text, in the chapter on the Conduct of the Noble Ones, it says: There are two kinds of conduct: the conduct of emptiness and the conduct of selflessness. Not seeing sentient beings in the five aggregates is called the conduct of emptiness. Seeing the five aggregates as having no nature is called the conduct of selflessness, as it is said. Because it follows Suchness and the ultimate reality, and because it abides in non-dual wisdom, it definitely realizes the ultimate truth with the characteristic of one taste in all things, and thus it manifests realization. This is the second explanation that is in accordance, showing the characteristic of one taste. The explanation of this sutra's words also differs from each other. Some say: This alone means that everything is only one aggregate, and in order to show the negation of difference, it is said that only the second is to negate other aggregates, etc. This means that this is showing that this is only one aggregate, as it is said, that the Suchness and ultimate reality of this one aggregate, and the dharma that is non-dual in existence and non-existence, with the three aspects of the object of selflessness, abide in non-conceptual wisdom, and therefore follow.

Because the wisdom of the attained ground will definitely realize that all of them are of the nature of one taste. Because it is manifest realization, one should know that the Thusness is the nature of one taste, and thus it will be taught. Some say that the so-called non-dual wisdom is the wisdom of selflessness of both person and dharma. The rest is as before. Some say that because yogis abide in this way with three kinds of non-discriminating wisdom, these wisdoms will definitely realize that everything is of the nature of one taste, so it is manifest realization. The rest should be explained as in the beginning. Or the rest is as before. In short, the above can be summarized into three statements. Some say that only this dharma is the Thusness of one taste. There are three statements about this, which should also be understood as before. Some say that only this one aggregate is the Thusness. There are three statements about this, which should also be understood as above. In this way, those taught above will also become nine statements. Or it is said that what is merely Thusness is one aggregate. There are three statements about this, which should also be understood as above. Although there are such statements, because the words are not true, to summarize the meaning of the statements, the first part of the sutra is called the inconsistent explanation because it seeks the ultimate in other dharmas. This part of the sutra is to prove that only one aggregate is sought, so it is taught that it is called the consistent explanation. The teacher, the truthful one, has explained these two sentences of the sutra, in which the first part of the sutra is explained as realizing the three kinds of objects. The latter part of the sutra is explained as definitely realizing, so it is manifest realization. These three are different, and if combined with the teachings of the Hinayana, it is because there are differences in the three uncontaminated roots. This is because of the differences in the stages of the path of seeing, the path of cultivation, and the path of no more learning. If combined with the teachings of the Mahayana here, then on each ground there is also entering, abiding, and arising.
