Therefore, compared to teaching the Dharma with one voice, the immeasurable ocean of sutras is extensively spoken. As it is said. Furthermore, in the Sutra of the Holy Vimalakirti, it is said: When the Buddha teaches the Dharma with one voice, sentient beings each understand according to their inclinations. Thus it is said. In the commentary on the Sutra of the Buddha-field, it is also said: For those who have the inclination of the wisdom of accomplishing activities, according to the differences in their inclinations, the activity of the speech emanation reveals various meanings, thereby cutting off doubts. Or, by generating one, all meanings are shown, thereby enabling sentient beings to obtain benefit according to their inclinations. As it is said in those sutras: When the Buddha speaks with one voice, sentient beings each understand that one voice. Some are frightened, some are delighted, some are saddened, and some have their doubts dispelled. Thus it is said. This is the speech emanation arising from the previous aspiration of the Tathagata, arising from inconceivable power, therefore, with one voice, it cuts off the doubts of sentient beings, and that emanation also causes sentient beings to see various differences in one body, and also completely accomplishes the objects of benefit, such as these, which are inexhaustible to describe. The so-called one voice there, if briefly stated, is of three types. First, it is called one because it follows the Dharma, such as when the word "form" is spoken, sentient beings each hear different sounds. Second, it is called one because it follows the place, such as when the language of the central region is spoken, sentient beings each hear the language of their own region. Third, it is called one because it follows the Brahma sound, therefore, in the Sutra of Immeasurable Meaning, it is said: In the Brahma sound, I universally take refuge. Thus it is said. In the commentary on the Holy Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, it is also said: Thus, with the sound of the Brahma voice, the Dharma is taught to sentient beings. Thus it appears. In the Great Commentary on Distinctions, the so-called one voice is like this: the Brahma sound, like this, those who have come together as an assembly of people from the central region.

O Blessed One, we think that the Blessed One teaches us the Dharma in the language of the central land. Likewise, those who come from other lands also think that the Blessed One teaches only me in my own language, and after hearing it, they understand it individually as it is. Furthermore, the practice of desire is heard as explaining impurity. Other practices of hatred are heard as explaining love. The practice of ignorance is heard as explaining dependent origination. Arrogant behavior and so on should also be understood accordingly. Is this single speech spoken by the Tathagata his own nature, or is it merely an image? If it is his own nature, then how should we understand and explain the commentary on the Compendium of the Great Vehicle, which is made by non-self-nature? If it is an image, then if it is accomplished in many forms following the listener, how can it be called one? The treatises of teachers such as Dharmapala rely on the teachings of reality itself and are only their own nature, not images. It is said. If it is explained based on both reality and duality, then it is considered to be its own nature and image. Is that so-called one speech also one in the language of Brahma? In this way, when following the sound and distinguishing without contradiction, it is permissible for the following and contradiction to be the same sound. If you rely on form, and distinguish between blue and yellow, will blue and yellow also become the same? If you think so, there is no fault. By the power of the Tathagata's miraculous power, one sees different things from one thing, such as form. Therefore, in the explanation of the Buddha-field, it is said that the wisdom incarnation that accomplishes the task also causes sentient beings to see different things in one object of form, and the object of benefit will be completely accomplished. If one who is master of miraculous power can see different things in one object of form, then one who is master of miraculous power can also see different aggregates of form as one?
