He said, "It should not be done that way." He replied, "Even if the Buddha has reached the end of the ocean of sentient beings, there is no fault, because it is reached by the general characteristic, not by the specific characteristic. For example, all sentient beings are inseparable from the four kinds of birth, so it is reached in that way." Some say that it is established by the power of Dharma. If that is the case, then even the Shravakas have establishment, so what is not common between the Buddha and the Shravakas? He replied, "The Shravakas hear through the cause of the Buddha, but the Buddha does not rely on a teacher and establishes it himself, so this is not common." Some say that everything within the three thousand worlds and up to a thousand years is established based on sentient beings. Everything in other world realms and other times is established based on Dharma, and if combined with the commentary on the Noble Perfection of Wisdom, there are also questions and answers in it. Therefore, from that, is it possible to know all the minds of all sentient beings completely? If you know, then sentient beings will have an end. If you do not know, then how can you not know the intentions of all sentient beings' minds? Why is the Buddha called the Omniscient One? He replied, "It is possible to know completely the minds of sentient beings and the Dharmas that arise from the mind. Why is that? It is like what is said in the Sutras, 'Among those who speak the truth, the Buddha is the best.'" If you do not know the minds of all sentient beings and have not reached the end, then why did the Bhagavan say that he knows completely? One should not say that he is an omniscient person, because the words of the Bhagavan are true and infallible, and there is no doubt that there is an omniscient person. Furthermore, since sentient beings are infinite, the wisdom of all aspects is also infinite. For example, the cover of a large door must also be large. If knowledge has an end, and sentient beings are infinite, then there will be this dispute.

The Tibetan translation is like this because both the wise and sentient beings are boundless, so you should not argue about this. Furthermore, the two statements of "having boundaries" and "having no boundaries" are both considered to be prophecies other than the Dharma of the Buddha. Because these fourteen things are not true and have no benefit, they should not be argued, and the detailed explanation is as stated in the original text. In addition, the original text says that if the Bodhisattvas can fulfill the wishes of all sentient beings, then sentient beings will also have boundaries, and those who experience suffering such as hunger and cold will also disappear. Why? Because the wishes of all sentient beings are fulfilled, they are free from suffering, and they have obtained happiness. In response, it is said that the so-called "all are fulfilled" is only nominally all, not truly all. As the verse in the Sutra of the Holy Dharma says: All are afraid of death, and there is no one who is not afraid of whips and diseases. Take my suffering as an example, do not kill, do not whip. Although the sutra says that all are afraid of the pain of whips, sentient beings in the formless realm have no body, so there is no pain of whips. Sentient beings in the form realm, although they have bodies, do not have the pain of whips. Among the sentient beings in the desire realm, there are also those who do not have the pain of whips, so what is said here is also considered from the principle of whipping, and it is not truly all. World Honored One, I was once in a quiet great forest, etc., which shows the second point, which is to narrate one's own observations. This can be divided into two types: one is to explain one's own and others' places, and the other is to explain the transmission of others' knowledge starting from "I saw those monks." This explains one's own place. When many trees gather together, it is called a forest. The so-called quiet place is where the teacher explains the three meanings with true wisdom.
