You are not different, it is said. Some say that the nature of ultimate truth is not different from the nature of conditioned things, this is the third examination. Because it is only hesitant about the two situations mentioned above, there is no other examination. Here are four kinds of observation methods, namely: one, one; two, different; three, neither one; four, neither different. why? Because saying neither one nor different is a slander of disapproval; saying neither one nor different is a play. The intention of this sutra is to establish a summary and to understand it through analogy. For the time being, one and different should be refuted. The attachment to one and different mentioned here is the attachment to one and different among the ten distractions. Like this, the antidotes to the distinctions of one and different are inconsistent in the various treatises. In the explanation of the "Mahayana Collection" by Master Vasubandhu, it is said that in order to counteract the distraction of clinging to one, the sutra says: Form and emptiness are not different, why? If the self-nature of otherness becomes one with the perfectly accomplished self-nature, then the self-nature of otherness should be a pure object like the perfectly accomplished self-nature. In order to counteract the distraction of clinging to difference, the sutra says: Form is not separate from emptiness, why? If these two are different from each other, then Dharma and Dharma-nature should also become different. If there is a different situation, this is also unreasonable, just like the impermanent Dharma and impermanence. If combined with the pervasively conceived nature, then form is also emptiness, and emptiness is also form, why? Because the form of pervasive calculation is without object, that is

It is also emptiness, and that is also without an object. Just as the dependent nature of the perfectly established nature is not inexpressible, so it is said. The commentary on the treatise "Compendium of the Great Vehicle" also says the same from a different aspect. If it is combined with the commentary on the "Compendium" made by the teacher Asanga, then the statement that form and emptiness are not different is in accordance with what is said in the commentary made by the teacher Vasubandhu. Thus, the form of dependence, in relation to the emptiness of perfect establishment, and the clinging to it as oneness, is refuted. Form is not separate from emptiness, etc., this is in terms of the completely imputed. Considering the emptiness of perfect establishment, clinging to oneness is refuted. Furthermore, the statement that form is not separate from emptiness, etc., is in terms of the form of the completely imputed. Considering the emptiness of the completely imputed, clinging to otherness, those are all refuted, so it is said. In the treatise "Ornament of the Sutras," it is only combined with the words of the sutras, and there is no separate explanation. Here, the intention of the sutras is that, relying on the dependent nature, in relation to the perfectly established nature, and clinging to oneness and otherness, this is refuted. That is also in accordance with the first statement of the teacher Vasubandhu, therefore, from the treatise "Establishment of Consciousness Only," this perfect establishment is neither other than nor non-other than the dependent nature. If it were other, then suchness would become not its reality. If it were not other, then this nature would become impermanent. Both it and it would become the state of being completely pure or not completely pure, and the power of the wisdom obtained from the root and subsequent would also become without otherness. Why are the two natures neither other nor one? Because impermanence and selflessness, etc., are just as they are. Thus, if impermanence, etc., were to gather

If, due to you and others, they become different from the Dharma, then those Dharmas would become the very reason for not being impermanent, etc. If they are not different, then these would become the reason for not being the general characteristics of those. Therefore, this example shows that the nature of the completely established nature and the nature of the dependent nature are neither the same nor different. The extensive differentiation between one and different will be shown below. The Bhagavan, having seen them, thought to himself: These noble sons are all children, ignorant, unclear, unskilled, and act entirely improperly, so they have not realized the nature of the ultimate truth, which is extremely subtle and profound, and the nature of the aggregates and the identity of one and different. That is what I think. That which is called 'praying thus' is the very act of praying about one's own third doubt. Among them, 'child' refers to the nature of ignorance. 'Ignorant' refers to distinguishing from ignorance. The Bodhisattva, whose wisdom is extremely pure, thought to himself: These noble sons have three kinds of actions due to the power of ignorance and ignorance. First, 'unclear' means that they have not yet obtained the power of omniscience. Second, 'unskilled' means that they have not yet obtained the power of omniscience. Third, 'improper' means that they have not yet obtained the power of omniscience. Therefore, the nature of non-identity and non-difference, in the ultimate sense, the reality of suchness has not manifested, this is the concluding remark. Then, the Bhagavan said to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, whose wisdom is extremely pure: Noble son, it is so, just as you said. Noble son, they are all children, ignorant, unclear, unskilled, and act entirely improperly, so they have not realized the nature of the ultimate truth, which is extremely subtle and profound, and the nature of the aggregates and the identity of one and different.
