It is like saying "the measure of three." If the mind consciousness of a noble being who has heard the scriptures of the noble ones from the eighth level onwards is the mind of samadhi, why is it shown to be direct perception? Answer: There are two meanings to this. Direct perception is because one's own nature is directly perceived. The measure of the words of the noble ones is because it measures the words of the noble ones. If that is the case, why did Master Jina show only these two measures, namely direct perception and inference? And why is it said that the measure of the words of the noble ones is included in the measure of inference? Answer: The meanings of the two masters' treatises are different, so there is no need to explain. Furthermore, when Master Jina said that the measure of the words of the noble ones is the measure of inference, it is not contradictory because it is said based on the scriptures of the noble ones. If we combine the explanation of the treatises with the teachings, the terms and differences are distinguished based on the realms, such as: the desire realm has four terms. The form realm has no distinction, because there is no universal search and measurement. The formless realm is said to have nothing at all. The desire realm has four terms such as seeing. If the form realm is combined with the pure aggregates, there is a subtle universal search and measurement. Saying that there is none is said from the perspective of the gross nature. The formless realm does not have the first three forms, it is just a different way of expressing it. Consciousness is very subtle in its own nature, so it is briefly explained. Therefore, the meaning of having no terms is that the way of expressing it is different. Therefore, the noble Dharma, with reason, should understand that the ultimate truth is completely beyond all the characteristics of the objects of discrimination and observation, this is the end of the second part. It is just a different way of expressing it. Furthermore, the noble Dharma, I say, the ultimate truth is the correct cutting off of all disputatious speech. Discrimination and observation are the objects of disputatious speech, from here on

The fifth (chapter) explains the nature of pacifying all disputes, called "All Disputes are Completely Pacified." This is also explained through two aspects: detailed explanation and concluding summary. This is the detailed explanation. Among them, the so-called "words of dispute" refer to: due to clinging to self and what belongs to self, the belief that there is a truly existing self within the five aggregates. Suchness is free from clinging to self and what belongs to self, because it is not the object of afflictions such as the view of self. The words of dispute are completely cut off, which is called "all words of dispute are completely pacified." The teacher in the commentary on "True Reasoning" says that there are two types of disputes: the first is the dispute caused by householders thinking about the five desires; the second is the dispute caused by renunciants generating views due to mutual discord. Combining with the teachings of the Abhidharmakosha, in the verses of the Abhidharmakosha it says: "The contaminated aggregates of clinging are also said to be strife." This is explained in the commentary of the Abhidharmakosha: "Afflictions are called aggregates of clinging. Because they arise from clinging, they are called aggregates of clinging, like the fire of grass and chaff. Or, because the aggregates depend on clinging, they are called aggregates of clinging, like the ministers of a king. Or, because the five aggregates produce clinging, they are called aggregates of clinging, like trees with flowers and fruits." Here, even if there is very rich Dharma, it is also called "associated with strife." Afflictions are called disputes because they disturb and agitate the side of virtue, and harm oneself and others, and cause disputes to grow, so they are called "associated with strife," just like contaminated dharmas. The Great Vibhasha Shastra says that there are three types of disputes: affliction disputes, aggregate disputes, and fighting disputes. Affliction disputes refer to the one hundred and eight afflictions. Aggregate disputes refer to death. Fighting disputes refer to beings slandering each other and disagreeing in speech.
