Because it dominates the empty world, it becomes the master of the empty world. Because it is named after the master's name, it is called the Sahā World. Some say that this "from here" refers to the Buddha's pure and perfect land that possesses eighteen kinds of merits. Therefore, the name of the Sahā World is mentioned from two examples. If that is the case, then there are no sun and moon in the pure land, why did the World Honored One say, "From the previous umbrella, from that Buddha land, I came here"? This is because the World Honored One spoke considering that there are sun and moon in other worlds. Some say that, as stated in the Commentary on the Buddha Land Sutra, "In the true meaning, from here" there are two kinds, namely pure lands and impure lands. Therefore, in order to generally indicate these two places, it is said "from here." The reason why the scriptures have such different statements is because the translators have different ideas, or because the original Sanskrit texts of India have such differences. Among them, the so-called Ganges River, the Ganges is the name of a deity. Why do the sutras only mention the Ganges River and not other rivers? The explanation of the Prajñāpāramitā Sutra says that there are various great rivers in Jambudvipa, and even if there are better ones than the Ganges River, why is the Ganges River always mentioned? The answer is that because the Ganges River has a lot of sand, and the others are not like that. In addition, the Ganges River is the place where the Buddha was born and also the place where he travels, so it is used as a metaphor so that students can see it with their own eyes. In addition, between the snow mountains of Jambudvipa, there is a lake called Mātrotsapa, from which four great rivers flow. On its east side, the Ganges River flows out from the mouth of an elephant and flows into the eastern ocean. On the south side, the Sindhu River flows out from the mouth of a horse and flows into the southern ocean. On the west side, the Vakshu River flows out from the mouth of a horse and flows into the western ocean. North

From the mouth of the lion, the Sindhu River flows and empties into the northern ocean. Among the four rivers, the Ganges is the most supreme, and people from all four directions and all scriptures say: The Ganges is a river of merit and auspiciousness. Whoever enters it and bathes will be cleansed of sins and impurities. Therefore, many people praise and know it. This is an example of the Ganges River. Furthermore, the names of other rivers are always mentioned by everyone, but the Ganges River is not mentioned at all times. Therefore, the Ganges River is mentioned as an example, and other rivers are not chosen. If you ask how many sands there are in the Ganges River, all mathematicians and counters cannot know, but only the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the Dharma body can comprehend and know its number. If the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas can comprehend and know the increase and decrease of all the dust in the entire Jambudvipa, what about the Ganges River? As the Blessed One was dwelling outside the Jeta Grove under a tree, a Brahmin came to the Blessed One and asked, 'How many leaves are there in this grove?' The Blessed One replied, 'There are this many.' The Brahmin was doubtful and thought, 'Who would believe it?' So the Brahmin went to a tree, picked some leaves, and came back and asked the Blessed One, 'How many leaves are there exactly?' The Blessed One replied, 'Just as many as you picked.' The Brahmin understood this, generated great faith, and requested to be ordained at the Blessed One's place, and later attained the fruit of Arhat.' Therefore, the Blessed One clearly knows the number of sands in the Ganges River. Furthermore, the sage Vajrapani in his commentary on the Diamond Sutra said: 'The so-called Ganges sand flows from the extremely cold sea and flows into the eastern ocean.' The length is...

It is eighty-four thousand yojanas. The width is two yojanas. Some widths also have two krosas. Because it flows down from the top of the sand mountain, the sand flowing down is white, so the water also flows white like the color of milk. When it comes out of that river, it turns blue again. It is said that the sand is very deep, and elephants and horses, etc., will sink if they enter there. In addition, all the people in India have seen that river, so this is an example. Going to a distant world like this is also mentioned in the 'Master of True Mindfulness': There are three kinds of direct perception of magical powers. The first is body flight, like birds flying in the sky. This is also by the power of samadhi to move the body, able to go to distant places, so one must always constantly have the direct perception of magical powers, and must have a pure body. If one speaks impurely, or if one is impure, the body will fall again. So it is called body flight. Among the three, this is the worst. The second is the direct perception of magical powers of wish-fulfillment, where the noble ones, according to the wishes of sentient beings, transform the distant into the near, and the near into the far, or whether it is internal or external, whatever internal transformation, the result will not be long-lasting, making the body go to a distant place. Whatever external transformation, the body will not go to a distant place, so making the distant and short, that result exists, this is the middle one. The third is the direct perception of mind speed, this direct perception is the best, and bodhisattvas above the eighth ground can obtain it, the body is light and fast, reaching there and completely accomplishing it. Because the mind focused on one point can reach there. Here, the bodhisattva also reached that world with the direct perception of mind speed. This is what the sutras say. The 'Abhidharmakosha' and 'Beyond the Correct Reasoning' say: The direct perception of magical powers of the power of mind is only possessed by the Buddha. Therefore, the true
