With four and a half verses, the antidote to what obscures the mind of enlightenment, which is incompatible with it, is shown. Now, with half a verse, it shows the complete abandonment of incompatible things. What is it? "Whatever sins are obscured," and so on. May all those sins that obscure and hinder the mind of enlightenment be completely exhausted and abandoned. Now, the combination without attachment is the third type, namely, from where, where, and how. "Karma and afflictions," and so on. From where? From karma, afflictions, and the works of demons. If karma is not specifically distinguished, then all three types of good, bad, and immovable karma are included. Among them, being liberated from bad karma, afflictions, and the works of demons, and constantly practicing without attachment to them, what is it? When dwelling in the world of beings such as gods. How is it? Like a lotus not being attached to water. Just as a lotus is born from water but is not attached to water, so one practices without being attached to worldly things such as karma, afflictions, and the works of demons. Thus, even for the two, good karma and immovable karma, one should be without hope for the ripening of results, and without attachment. It is said that the practice of a Bodhisattva is to practice and accomplish only the benefit and happiness of all beings. How is it? For example, like the sun and moon moving unhindered in the sky. Just as the sun and moon are like wish-fulfilling jewels in the world, abiding to accomplish the benefit of others, and without any attachment to themselves, moving in the sky day and night. Among them, a demon is one who obstructs the life of virtue, is incompatible with enlightenment, and turns away from the holy path. In terms of etymology, it also refers to one who obstructs and kills those who live by the Dharma, hence it is called a demon. Its work is to harm beneficial things with causes. Benefiting all sentient beings in this life and the next is the fourth type. What is that? The suffering of the lower realms, and so on. All beings suffer from sins

May those born in the lands of suffering and the three lower realms be completely pacified. Now, why is it said that only the suffering of the lower realms is pacified? Because they cause great harm, that is why it is mainly discussed. Know that the suffering of all samsara should also be similarly completely pacified. Why should all beings be placed in supreme bliss? Because one should act to benefit all beings in this way, and until one attains unsurpassed wisdom, one should act with a mind that never tires, without turning to other things. As for how long? As much as the extent and directions of the fields, how much means until when. The extent of the fields refers to how much the extent of the Buddha-fields is, that is, existing from one kalpa to another. Direction means that it should be connected to the ten directions. The armor worn by the armored ones is of five kinds, and that is also of three kinds. Following the conduct of sentient beings, perfecting the Buddhadharma, and proclaiming the sacred Dharma. What is that? It is acting in accordance with the conduct of sentient beings, and so on. Acting with the causeless nature for sentient beings, abiding in happiness, and holding and acting in accordance with their minds. Perfecting the conduct of Bodhi, which means acting for the sake of Bodhi, which is the conduct of Bodhi, and perfecting it is accomplishing the Dharmas of the Buddhas. The good practitioners show well, and here the good conduct refers to teaching the sacred Dharma itself, embellishing, explaining, and showing it with skillful means. Acting in all future kalpas means acting with a mind that does not tire in all future immeasurable kalpas. By the actions of body, speech, and mind, and by aspiration, showing conformity with the Bodhisattvas who have equal merit, this is the sixth kind. What is that? Those who act in the same way as my conduct, and so on. Those who act in accordance with my Bodhisattva conduct, may they always
