From the time of death, one will be born in the Buddha-field, able to see immeasurable and countless Tathagatas, and also hear the Dharma from them, and all will be able to renounce and practice Brahmacharya. O Tathagata Dipamkara! etc. In the presence of the Tathagata Dipamkara, he practiced Brahmacharya, abandoned the female form, and became a great Dharma speaker. At that time, King Wisdom Power was Maitreya. The Dharma-speaking monk was the Tathagata Dipamkara. At that time, the king's daughter named Jñānavatī was me. The god who showed the dream was the Tathagata Akshobhya. Those who saw the Dharma-speaking monk sick and shed tears, all became non-retreaters. They will never have eye diseases. Etc., these are easy to understand. After obtaining the treasury of the Tathagata, etc., these explain the merits of holding this samadhi. One will see hundreds of thousands of kotis of Buddhas. Etc. Therefore, those who wish to obtain immeasurable merits should serve the sick Dharma-speaking monk with a close attitude. One's own flesh and blood, in order to obtain the fruit of Buddhahood, is given away with compassion. Jñānavatī, who freed the Dharma-speaking monk from illness, is the Bhagavan Shakyamuni. Commentary on the thirty-fifth chapter, Jñānavatī, is complete. In order to explain the first part of the story of the conduct of Flower Moon Adornment, then, the Venerable Ananda rose from his seat, etc. What is the cause? What is the condition? It means, what is the proximate cause? What is the co-emergent cause? Some Bodhisattvas experience the pain of having their hands, feet, ears, noses, and eyes gouged out, their heads cut off, their limbs cut off, etc., and various other kinds of suffering, but even if they experience suffering, they will not be discouraged, nor will they turn away from unexcelled perfect enlightenment.

In order to answer Ananda's question, "I do not regress." The Blessed One taught: Ananda, you should know and remember the various sufferings he had experienced in the past, and so on. When I attained the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, you clearly knew the sufferings I had experienced, why do you ask the Tathagata about these things? You should have answered. This is because if Ananda answered, the beings to be tamed would not be respectful, so the Blessed One had to answer himself. The Blessed One taught: Ananda, for example, a person is burning from foot to head, turning into a ball of fire, and another person approaches him and says: Hey, come here! Before the fire burning in your body is extinguished, enjoy the combination with the five desirable sensual pleasures! and so on. Ananda, what do you think? Before the fire burning in his body is extinguished, that person combines with the five desirable sensual pleasures, will he play, rejoice, and enjoy himself? This situation is impossible. Similarly, when the Tathagata practiced the bodhisattva conduct in the past, seeing beings suffering in the three evil realms of hell, even seeing poor people, he would not feel happy or joyful in his heart. Similarly, those great bodhisattvas, when they practiced the bodhisattva conduct in the past, kept the precepts purely, and so on. The so-called keeping the precepts purely is a word of praise, because without the disturbance of afflictions, the precepts are not broken. The so-called precepts are not destroyed because they are not contaminated by subtle dirt. The so-called precepts are not mixed because they are not mixed with intermittent non-precepts. The so-called not clinging to precepts refers to not clinging to precepts and asceticism. The so-called precepts are unshakable means that there is no thought of accepting other views. The so-called precepts are not defiled
