The commentary on the Mahāyāna Sūtra called "The King of Samādhi that Elaborates the Equality of the Nature of All Phenomena," called "Garland of Fame," by Jampal Drakpa. The commentary on the Mahāyāna Sūtra called "The King of Samādhi that Elaborates the Equality of the Nature of All Phenomena," called "Garland of Fame." By Jampal Drakpa. In Sanskrit: Ārya sarva dharma svabhāva samatā prapañcita samādhi rāja nāma mahāyāna sūtra ṭīkā kīrati mālā nāma. Homage to the noble Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta! How the Buddhas' minds and Mañjughoṣa, etc., the supreme sons of the Conquerors, know, That suchness is not known by those who have not well trained their minds in the path of Dharma. If one makes the application extremely familiar, even those of small intelligence will generate that intelligence. Therefore, may the realization of the suchness of Dharma always manifestly arise for me! Here, the effort to make a commentary on the King of Samādhi, the lord of the sūtras, Will, through the very fact of having become vast in intelligence, from being a Buddha, become the supreme being, a sage. "Thus have I heard," and so forth, is to be stated first in order to generate joy in the listeners regarding the connection, the subject to be spoken of, the purpose, and the purpose of the purpose. Furthermore, since it is gathered together by stating "Thus have I heard," and so forth, it is said, "Thus have I heard." Therein, the subject to be spoken of is "The King of Samādhi that Elaborates the Equality of the Nature of All Phenomena." The collection of texts that reveals that is also called "The King of Samādhi," since the effect is named after the cause. The nature of those expressers and expressed ones arising from skillful means is the connection. Moreover, the purpose is to manifestly realize the King of Samādhi that Elaborates the Equality of the Nature of All Phenomena through the knowledge arising from hearing, thinking, and meditating. Then, having manifestly realized that samādhi,

The passing away without abiding in Nirvana, accomplishing the benefit of all sentient beings, is the necessity of necessities. Having completely accomplished the ultimate fruit of desires, there is nothing else to desire, this is called the ultimate necessity. Then, with the phrase "Thus I have heard," it shows the entirety of the meaning of the sutra being summarized. "I" refers to direct hearing. "Heard" refers to being shown by the compiler without having directly done it. The compiler is Ananda, because there are the words "Ananda, remember this." Vajrapani is also, as it is said elsewhere. Now, in order to answer when, where, and with whom you heard this unparalleled precious sutra, and in order to show oneself as trustworthy, the place and so on are shown by compiling, that is, "At one time." "At one time" refers to hearing this precious sutra, and hearing others at other times. This is like the compassionate King of Medicine, the compiler shows himself to be a learned one, meaning that such precious sutras are heard at all times. Or, "At one time" refers to in a single moment, in a dream, through the blessings of gods and so on, in a short time, like visualizing a hundred years and so on, obtaining the samadhi of the stream of Dharma, and due to the initial blessing of the Tathagata, hearing and not forgetting in a single moment, there is no contradiction to this, this is the summarized meaning. As for "Bhagavan," the scriptures say: Afflictions, actions, and what arises from them, Afflictions, cognitive obscurations as well, And all opposing phenomena, By destroying, it is called Bhagavan. This is the statement of the scriptures. From the perspective of the meaning of the words, because of destroying afflictions and so on, it is Bhagavan, or, Freedom and beauty, Auspiciousness, fame, and wisdom, And perfect diligence, Possessing these six, it is established as Bhagavan. Because he possesses these, he is Bhagavan, because he possesses all freedom and so on, he is Bhagavan. Residing in Rajagriha.

There are four types of "abiding": abiding by conduct, abiding by showing, abiding by equanimity, and abiding by inner correctness. Whatever is slightly counted as the activity of the body, all of those are abiding by conduct. Whatever are the activities of speech are abiding by showing. Whatever are the activities of mind are the other two types of abiding besides these, namely, constant equanimity and entering into samadhi, which is abiding by equanimity. Observing the world with great compassion and the gathering of gods and others is abiding by inner correctness. Showing the two places at Vulture Peak in Rajagriha (capital of the ancient Indian kingdom of Magadha in the 6th century BC, near Patna, Bihar today) is for the purpose of gathering both householders and renunciants. Rajagriha is a name with meaning. Vulture Peak is the king of great jewel mountains piled with various jewels, a place where the Tathagata, together with his sons, reveals the birth of all Buddhas, a place of manifest enlightenment that inevitably arises from immeasurable accumulations of merit and wisdom, unmoving like the Vajra Seat. To show the perfect retinue, it is said, "together with the great community of monks," and so on. The great community of monks is the abandonment of afflictive obscurations, not to be divided by all the Maras, the Shravaka Sangha is the Sangha. The Bodhisattva Sangha is called Sangha because it is free from afflictions and the obscurations of knowledge, because it subdues afflictions, because it cannot be divided by the same intention by showing the One Vehicle, and because it performs the benefit of sentient beings from the assembly. Because the Bhikshu Sangha abides permanently, it was shown in the beginning. The Bodhisattvas are shown later for the purpose of hearing the immeasurable Ratnakuta Sutra, and like the Tathagatas, they are engaged in benefiting others, to show that not all are always present. "Together" means at the same time. By virtue
