All the samadhis of Bodhisattvas naturally lead to entering into courageous conduct and so on. Entering into transcendence and so on with effort, and knowing how to enter, abide, and emerge from them as they are, this is knowing how to abide and emerge. The expert in this is clear about it. As for "praised and extolled by all the Buddhas, and highly revered," praised by all the Buddhas means expressing the supreme qualities. Extolling means greatly showing the special qualities of the inconceivable actions of benefiting sentient beings. Therefore, revered means highly praising through the accumulation of merit and wisdom. As for "skilled in going to all Buddha-fields by means of miraculous powers," it means manifesting one's own body perfectly in all Buddha-fields at the same time by means of the miraculous power of the force of mind, and going there in order to listen to the Dharma spoken by all the Tathagatas, and for the sake of benefiting sentient beings. Being skilled is like that. As for "skilled in the knowledge that makes all demons afraid," it means that with wisdom, skillful means, and the wisdom of great compassion, one emanates great wrathful ones who are victorious over the three realms and so on. As for "all dharmas" and so on, all dharmas are conditioned and unconditioned. Knowing them as they appear in the nature of unborn and so on is knowing as it is. The expert in this is clear about it. As for "all sentient beings" and so on, knowing the differences in the faculties of faith and so on of all sentient beings, whether small, medium, or large, and the various differences related to superior and inferior births, and then teaching the Dharma in accordance with them, is being skilled in wisdom. As for "offering to all the Buddhas" and so on, there are two kinds of offerings to the Tathagatas: practice offerings, which means not transgressing the precepts spoken by the Tathagatas, and practicing and perfecting the Dharma as it is. Flowers and incense and so on are external offerings, and both of these are the actions of offering. Knowing the practice of these.

The one called "Wise" is as previously stated. Regarding "all worldly dharmas" and so on, gaining and not gaining, happiness and suffering, praise and blame, fame and infamy, these are the eight worldly dharmas, which are not tainted by these. Regarding "body, speech, and mind perfectly adorned," not killing living beings, not stealing, not engaging in sexual misconduct, abandoning the paths of non-virtue is the adornment of the body; not lying, not slandering, not speaking harsh words, without coarse language, is the adornment of speech; completely abandoning greed, malice, and wrong views is the adornment of the mind. Alternatively, the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks are the adornment of the body. Spreading throughout the boundless realms of the world with a voice endowed with sixty qualities, teaching the Dharma to sentient beings with the voice of Brahma is the adornment of speech. Knowing the various categories of mind, thereby understanding the differences in the mental streams of sentient beings, and taming sentient beings who engage in desire and so on, is the adornment of the mind. Therefore, it is said, "body, speech, and mind perfectly adorned." In order to show the undifferentiated qualities of abiding in the four Brahma-viharas, it is said, "wearing the armor of great love and great compassion," and mentioning love and compassion is to indicate joy and equanimity. In order to show the qualities of possessing the ultimate perfection of diligence, it is said, "great diligence without discouragement for countless eons," because one is accustomed to countless eons and has taken it as one's own, therefore, with great diligence, one benefits sentient beings without discouragement for countless eons. In order to show the application of the qualities of overwhelming all retinues, it is said, "roaring a great lion's roar," the great lion's roar is the sound of the selflessness of all dharmas, just as the roar of a lion frightens foxes, so too the lion's roar of selflessness frightens all non-Buddhists, whoever has the posture of roaring a great lion's roar is called that.
