When Sudatta asked, "Great King, why are you weeping and sitting before me?" King Shri replied in the tone of a verse, which means it was for the sake of answering. To show these very things, starting from "Great Wisdom Sudatta," it means that upon seeing the wondrousness of the great Dharma speaker Sudatta, all beings became unhappy and sorrowful. Incomparable treasury of virtues, supreme mass of wisdom, Like the king of mountains, a pure moon, surpassing the sun, With the rays of equanimity towards all beings, Your own beautiful radiance illuminates in every way. Knowing that the hand is damaged, I am also very distressed. This shows the cause of sorrow. Starting from "Your hand has been burned," etc., this closely shows the particularity of the light, that the light emanating from you, who are skilled in illuminating all directions, makes the light of candles and others indistinct. In order to create wonder, starting from "This earth shook violently," etc., seeing your unwavering mind, thinking that this person is not an ordinary person, but surely a non-returning Bodhisattva, I, along with my consorts and retinue, jumped from the roof of the house, etc., by making it understood that it is a Bodhisattva, giving the praise of "Good!" is for the sake of expressing great qualities, showing the greatness of the nature of wisdom, the greatness of mind, the greatness of diligence, and the greatness of teaching the Dharma with an unchanging intention. I am also skilled in the same way, May my aspirations be completely fulfilled. This also causes others to begin learning. Starting from "Like this, incomplete limbs, therefore very painful," in order to show that the Bodhisattva Sudatta is not incomplete in limbs, another verse was spoken: Even if someone has no hands, That is not incomplete limbs. Here, by expressing the limb of virtue with the word "limb," even if the limbs of the body are incomplete, it is the limb of discipline.

Not being diminished means having no incomplete limbs. Whoever lacks discipline, that is having incomplete limbs. This is called showing from the opposite side. In order to obtain the incorruptible Dharmakaya with this corruptible body, one should make offerings to all the Tathagatas. If someone were to adorn the three thousand great thousand world systems, hundreds of thousands of kotis of lands, with all kinds of adornments, and fill them completely with the seven precious jewels, and offer them to the Tathagatas. And if another person, knowing that the nature of phenomena is emptiness, were to offer limbs and parts of the body to the Tathagatas, then the latter, with this empty body of limbs, would obtain an immeasurable and boundless accumulation of merit, more than the former. In order to accord with the world, one begins to perform the blessing of truth, such as "One should speak the words of truth," and so on. By what truth may I become a Buddha, that is, making light for all the world, and being able to liberate immeasurable and boundless realms of sentient beings, by that truth and words of truth, may this great earth shake in six ways. As soon as the words of truth were spoken, this great earth shook in six ways. Seeing that rare and wonderful sight, the gods and other beings generated the mind of enlightenment with joyful hearts, and remained firmly in the Great Vehicle. Again, in order to show the greatness of the nature of emptiness, one performs the blessing, such as, "By what truth is that dharma, not even called a hand," and so on. Ultimately, the aggregates such as form are not true, because they are the nature of emptiness. By that truth, as before, may the hand quickly appear. The meaning is, may it become like the body when it was not damaged before. Similarly, the dharma called giving with pleasure also does not exist. The sound by which it is shown is also empty. By truth and words of truth, may all the world not be burned. The meaning is that if one performs the blessing of truth, everything will not be burned. All sentient beings are equal.
