By cultivating Samadhi, entering through the power of Samadhi, without characteristics, without aspirations, naturally luminous, from the beginning, it will extensively teach the Dharma of peace. Having become apparent, one will become skilled in dispelling the darkness of ignorance. The one who holds this Samadhi will become pure through celibacy, and with a mindstream purified by washing away all aspects of affliction, will also establish others in pure morality. Their wisdom will become extremely sharp. They will become a sea of learning, fully understanding all treatises. By extensively teaching virtuous Dharma, they will become skilled in subduing immeasurable realms of sentient beings with virtuous speech. They will attain the highest achievements in the distinctions of worldly occupations, the distinctions of crafts, medicine, the tastes of medicines, abilities, and the distinctions of the places of physicians. They will be revered as teachers in various arts such as poetry, prosody, treatises, songs, percussion, and dance treatises. They will have immeasurable retinues, and the retinues will not be separated. Various diseases that slightly harm the mind or harm the body will not occur to them, because the mind that meditates on Samadhi is contrary to them. Like the sky, without attachment. And so on. Just as the sky is naturally pure and limitless, so too, the mind that has cultivated Samadhi is like the sky, extremely pure, naturally luminous, and without interruption, because it cannot be fully measured. Like moonlight, and so on. Just as the light of the moon and sun is naturally luminous. Likewise, if one completely eliminates all the darkness of ignorance in the mind, then the nature will become luminous. If one holds this peaceful Samadhi, free from dust. It should be taught everywhere. Like holding paint in the open sky. And so on. With various methods of paint, on cloth and

Just as one cannot paint in the sky as one paints on walls and so forth, similarly, for the mind, one cannot paint with the colors of various conceptual thoughts, except for the samadhi of non-dual nature. As it says, "How does the wind rise from the four directions?" and so forth. The wind might be gathered and encircled from the four directions and bound with ropes, but one cannot know its mind, nor can one know the actions of the minds of all sentient beings. Having fully examined and grasped, one might be able to grasp the moon in the water that appears in various vessels. One might be able to grasp lightning. One might be able to simultaneously grasp the sounds and voices of all sentient beings. But one cannot know the actions of its mind. Through these, the great nature of obtaining samadhi is fully shown. Having heard this samadhi, one will not fall into the three lower realms due to karma, but will consciously be reborn in samsara for the benefit of sentient beings. As it says, "Not craving desires, not craving form," and so forth. Because of being free from craving for desires, form, and formlessness, one does not crave desires and so forth. There is no craving for wives, sons, daughters, relatives, retinue, wealth, grain, jewels, pearls, and so forth. Craving is feeling and seeking, referring to the mind that constantly seeks and is never satisfied due to extreme desire. His pure conduct is not for the sake of heaven, not for the power of the king of gods and the dominion of kingdoms, but for the benefit of beings, may I attain Buddhahood, therefore, he vows to practice samadhi in order to liberate all sentient beings. As it says, "Not craving songs either," and so forth. One will not specifically engage in songs, dances, musical instruments, agreeable scents, flowers, incense, powders, clothes, food, drinks, bedding, and seeking pleasure. These are the qualities of obtaining samadhi, namely, the actions of various conceptual thoughts are completely
