It is propagated after giving. It takes the essence from the king, fire, thieves, etc., and from common enjoyment. Through generosity, one is born into a lineage with great enjoyment, and is not stingy in order to achieve great enjoyment. Therefore, for this person, the mind of giving arises immediately after birth, because of previous habits. He is a giver and a benefactor. He is compassionate and merciful to all sentient beings. He is fearless and does not shrink back; when entering the assembly, he overwhelms everything with the power of great generosity. In all directions and corners, the sound of his verses is widely proclaimed, and his fame is manifest, because he is widely proclaimed for giving to all sentient beings who come from all directions. His hands and feet are soft and full of vitality, because they are in accordance with the cause of generosity, and he possesses hands and feet adorned with the marks of a great person. The soles of his feet are flat and stable, because his commitment to generosity is unwavering. He does not separate from virtuous friends, and the benefit of not separating from all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas until reaching the Bodhi tree is tenfold. These are the past deeds. Expressing these meanings in verses is because there is no extra meaning that has not been explained. This shows one of the four types of generosity, and the essence of being completely included within it is unique. This is regarded as the foremost of all generosity, and for those who are dedicated to benefiting others, everything is most important. The commentary on the twenty-seventh chapter, "Explaining the Benefits of Generosity," is completed. After generosity, intending to explain ethics, therefore, the benefits of a youth's ethics being completely pure are tenfold, and so on. Taking wisdom as the foremost, being called "taking wisdom as the foremost" means that wisdom is fully increased by ethics, etc. Making it complete is through white and pure dharmas. Emulating the Buddhas is in order to increase things that are consistent with the Tathagata's teachings. The wise do not slander, which is not doing the act of slander. From the vow

Not wavering means not abandoning the mind of enlightenment and not breaking the precepts. Abiding in diligence means accomplishing everything with diligence. Liberation from samsara means merely not being attached to samsara, not turning one's back on the benefit of sentient beings. Being able to attain nirvana means having the ultimate mind of nirvana. Abiding without arising means without the arising of afflictions. Being able to attain samadhi means manifesting samadhi through the precepts of non-distraction. Not becoming poor means the wealth and power of contentment. Thus, by accumulating the wealth of precepts, the benefit of abiding in the aggregate of precepts is these ten. The verses are not explained because there is no extra meaning. The body of Buddha's qualities arises from the cause of precepts, and one will surely attain the state of Buddhahood. The Buddha said that precepts are the most excellent, and one should always guard them well with diligence and effort. The commentary on the twenty-eighth chapter, which definitely explains the precepts, is complete. In order to explain the benefits of patience that follows the precepts, "Youth" and so on were taught. One will not be burned by fire, will not be killed by weapons, will not be harmed by poison, will not be drowned by water, and will not die without abandoning fear. The gods will protect him, and will always protect those who have patience. One will obtain a body adorned with excellent marks and signs, because it is the cause of perfecting the excellent marks. He will block all the gates of evil destinies, with the words, "Having obtained patience, one will not fall into evil destinies." It will not be difficult for him to be born in the Brahma world, because patience is the nature of the abode of Brahma. He will pass the days and nights in happiness, because he has endured all the harm that comes from encountering suffering. His body will not abandon joy and happiness, because patience is the nature of happiness. These ten are the benefits of abiding in patience. The meaning of the verses is as before. Perfect Enlightenment.

Because of being doubly excellent, three kinds of patience are taught. Compared to patience with emptiness-dharma, others cannot become patience. Starting from the chapter on ethics and ending with the chapter called "Ten Benefits," which has countless chapters. To show the benefits of diligence, it is said, "Young man, these are ten benefits," and so on. It becomes difficult to approach because the power of diligence makes all virtues reach the ultimate peak, so it is not easy to be overwhelmed. Obtaining the Buddha's acceptance is the thought of all Buddhas. Being accepted by the gods is protecting and concealing (defilements). The Dharma he has heard will not completely disappear because he always recites it. Hearing dharmas that have not been heard before is because of diligence in hearing dharmas that have not been heard before. Obtaining the lineage of samadhi means that all other dharmas can also obtain the lineage of samadhi, which will manifest. Becoming less sick is because the Dharma that cures diseases is taught. His food can also be easily digested because there are no uncomfortable factors, relying on the Dharma. Becoming like a lotus and not like water grass means gradually increasing white dharmas, not being contaminated by the mud of the faults of samsara, and not gradually depleting like an iron arrow, causing suffering. These are the benefits of diligence. In order to easily understand these meanings, it is also said in verses, "It also always becomes difficult to approach," and so on, as before. The Tathagatas also attained unsurpassed complete enlightenment because of diligence in countless kalpas, so one should be diligent and strive for yoga. For the sake of self and others being meaningful, the diligence of the supreme Bodhicitta can obtain all goodness, and all the qualities of the Buddhas beyond the world are perfectly accomplished by the practice of diligence. Now, in order to show in detail the benefits of meditation, young man, meditation
