By abiding perfectly in this, one will definitely accomplish all the qualities of the Buddha in the most supreme and ultimate way. In order to show the various distinctions of ethics, the phrase "many without disturbance" and so on, means that the ethics that delight in solitude will become completely pure. Abandoning all sinful friends, relying on virtuous friends, listening to the sacred Dharma, completely upholding, remembering, rejoicing, and with great compassion, definitely taking all sentient beings into one's care, for the sake of generating the mind of enlightenment, etc., all of these are limbs of ethics. Having initiated diligence, without regard for body and life, one should continuously seek virtuous friends. The so-called absence of deceit means that with a non-hypocritical mind, one should listen to these categories of Dharma that lead to great compassion from virtuous friends. From "should be upheld" to "should also be extensively and truthfully taught to other beings," it means that when one seeks virtuous friends, serves, attends, and does not become weary, then one will happily realize the unexcelled, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Since the unexcelled, perfect, and complete enlightenment also depends on virtuous friends, then what need is there to mention these categories of Dharma that lead to great compassion? The so-called "showing past events, truly explaining with verses," refers to starting from "past countless billions of eons," etc. In countless past eons, the Tathagata named King Dhvaja of the Crown of Power, explained the definitive samadhi, that all dharmas are empty of self, life, person, power-born, agent like grass and trees, like illusion, like mirage, like image, like moon in water. At the time of death, sentient beings and life, etc., do not go to the next world, and karma and its results do not perish. Just as in the center of a mirror, the black, white, spots, patterns, etc., of the face appear, so the appearance of karma and its results is also in the mind-stream.

That is similar to that, that is the meaning. By way of reason, accepted as a universal application, therefore birth, death, going to the next world, author and user, etc. are inappropriate, because even the words of letters are not found in it, therefore it is emptiness. When the Buddha is enlightened, the Bhagavan knows. This is called the samadhi of suchness. The Bhagavan taught such a samadhi. Then, having heard this samadhi, all the diseases of afflictions were completely pacified. The treasure accomplished by the Bodhisattva is, etc., through these, the difference of the merits of the samadhi is shown, in order to allow those who desire the difference of the fruit to enter. At that time, the monks who preach the Dharma were sitting. For this matter, when the Dharma is taught there, due to the perfection of the conduct of discipline, having heard this Dharma, a mind in accordance with the Buddha himself arose. Knowing his thoughts, you have generated Bodhicitta, gradually perfected all the Paramitas, and will definitely become a Buddha, thus prophesying that the Dharma-speaking monk is none other than the present, through these, at all times, one should seek samadhi, and one should completely rely on a virtuous friend, this will be shown. Having respectfully heard the samadhi, completely meditate, after becoming a Buddha, in order to benefit sentient beings, after thinking like that, with the mind of benefiting oneself and others, that joyful commentary was completed by the benefit worker Galasa. The commentary on the twentieth chapter, the King of the Banner of the Crown of Freedom, is complete. In order to completely cut off the evil friends with objective views, in order to approximately show what happened in the past. Then, the Bhagavan said, etc., starting from "Young man, therefore," in connection with what was shown earlier. Then, the Bhagavan at that time correctly and thoroughly showed the story of what happened in the past with the melody of verses, in order to show those contents themselves, in the past, it happened here in Jambudvipa, etc.

Then, in the past, in this Jambudvipa, there were two sons of merchants. These two sons of merchants became monks with great devotion to the teachings of the Tathagata. After becoming monks, they abandoned all attachments and, like rhinoceroses, lived in forests conducive to meditation, experiencing the joy and happiness of meditation. They possessed miraculous powers and attained meditative absorption. Understanding the faculties and thoughts of sentient beings, they communicated with each other about the Dharma and dwelled there. Then, a powerful king went to chase after fleeing wild animals and came to a monastery near them. The king saw them and was very happy. He prostrated respectfully, sat before them, and spoke words in accordance with his thoughts to the king, such as "Listen, King," and so on. Among them, it was said, "The appearance of a Buddha is extremely rare," meaning that the appearance of a Buddha is very rare, therefore be cautious and strive to protect the Dharma. This life flows swiftly like a mountain stream, and like something that does not stay, when oppressed by aging, death, sorrow, weeping, pain, and displeasure, there is no other refuge except the Dharma. Therefore, protect the Dharma, and in the future, in a time that is extremely terrifying, when the teachings of the Tathagata decline, strive to prevent it from declining. They admonished the king in many ways. After that, the king heard the admonishments and felt joy and happiness, prostrated at their feet, and returned to his palace. Many monks who held other views and were extremely cunning, those who desired gain and respect, entered his court. The king saw that they did not restrain their senses and no longer respected them. Then, many monks who were greedy and attached. It means that those who are very greedy and attached, and who have fallen away from the teachings of the Tathagata, cause the king to have inverted attachments. These two who speak of the Dharma are nihilists,
