It said "etc." What is called "the suchness of all dharmas" is that suchness is like emptiness by nature. It is not closely produced by anything that is non-erroneous and non-conceptual, that is, it is the very absence of birth and cessation. The cessation of attention to the mind and mental factors, dharmas and their properties, actions and activities, etc., remembering the nature of non-objectification and non-perception of aggregates, etc., is mindfulness, intelligence, thought, shame, steadfastness, rituals, conduct, and the place of diligence, which arises from the samadhi that is the training of all Bodhisattvas. Similarly, that which has become the support of the qualities of the Buddhas is called the 'Definite Exposition of Samadhi.' One who dwells in this definite exposition will not be separated from samadhi. One will not be separated from the qualities of all the Buddhas, the mind will be without confusion, spontaneously accomplished, and able to accomplish the benefit of all sentient beings. From "Then" etc., the Blessed One spoke of the self-nature of samadhi, in "Samadhi, the place of unequalled," etc., unequalled is emptiness. Peaceful is peaceful by nature. Subtle is that which cannot be realized by the mind that focuses on the coarse. Therefore, it is difficult to see. Because all perceptions are destroyed, it is called samadhi. Emptiness is freedom from all elaboration. Therefore, it is called samadhi. In order to extensively show these, in "Without thought and without discrimination," etc., the discrimination of the apprehended and the apprehender is completely abandoned, because there is no basis, it cannot be shown. The mind also has no object, therefore it is called samadhi. Even if one abides in equanimity, there is no pride, and as it is without pride, that is proclaimed as samadhi. Since dharmas do not exist even as a particle, how can there be an object for what does not exist? Dharmas have no object, therefore it is called samadhi. In "The mind has no object"

It is also conceptualization. That Dharma is not discriminated, and it is called mind and mental phenomena, etc. Sounds clearly indicate all meanings, but the sounds themselves are also unreal. With false sounds, where and what can be indicated? Sounds are like echoes in a valley, merely illusions. Thus it is said. These Dharmas do not abide, and the terms "place," "dweller," and "abode" are used. Because there is no object of reference, non-abiding is expressed by the term "dweller." Similarly, speaking of going, coming, death, and transmigration, it is said that being free from death, transmigration, and going is the very nature of Samadhi. Thus it is said. The pride of abiding and not abiding, Bodhisattvas who are free from all pride, attain unsurpassed perfect enlightenment through perfect abiding. Bodhisattvas who enter the equality of Shamatha and Vipassana are called those who are in accordance with Samadhi meditation. Letters cannot enter, meaning that those who enter the Dharma nature do not have the experience of letters. They realize it only by meditating, free from all letters, languages, and sounds. If there is a Bodhisattva who, as mentioned before, delights in practicing Samadhi and has no other thoughts, that is a mind equal to space. Even if this realm is burned by the fire of the Kalpa, this and so on show the power of Samadhi. If this Buddha-field is burned by the fire of the end of the Kalpa, making the vessel world appear like ashes, those who are in the center of the mountain king will not be burned by the fire. Why is it that if it is something to be burned, why is it not burned? Like the sky that has never been burned before. Thus it is said, meaning that even if this world realm is burned by the fire of the Kalpa that destroys it for many Kalpas, the sky will not be burned, because it has no self-nature. Likewise, those who enter into Samadhi equal to space are also free from all objects like space, and are not burned.

Because the nature of what is to be burned is invisible, it will not be burned. If this Buddha-field is ablaze, it means: When this Buddha-field is burned by the fire of the kalpa's end, the one who abides in samadhi, in order to completely pacify the fire of the kalpa's end, whether by mind or by words, says, "May the fire that burns the kalpa's end be completely pacified!" Then, in that instant, it will be completely pacified without exception, otherwise it will not. By the power of mantras and so on, the four great elements may change, because that is their antidote. However, for emptiness, there is no antidote, therefore there is no change. "His power of miraculous abilities also becomes limitless," which means: By the power of samadhi, that Bodhisattva will manifestly turn towards various kinds of miraculous abilities, characterized by going and coming immeasurably to the Buddha-fields. Because of limitless courage, he listens to limitless Dharma, manifests limitless emanations, and निश्चितly accomplishes limitless collections of qualities. "At that time, he obtains special miraculous abilities," and so on, as well as "When there are no afflictions, at that time he will obtain miraculous abilities," which means: When the afflictions that are contrary to samadhi are completely abandoned, then one will obtain mastery over miraculous abilities, and thus will be able to show miraculous transformations as desired, therefore one should train in the samadhi of the Bodhisattva who has abandoned all stains of discrimination. "The vessel-world with its various forms, even if destroyed by the fire of destruction, cannot destroy space into dust, likewise is the yogi who has obtained steadfast samadhi." The explanation of the thirteenth chapter, "Definitely Showing Samadhi," is complete. Now, in order to fully accomplish the chapter on showing the sign of prediction, the smile, it is said, "Then," and so on. That is, thereafter, the Blessed One opened the occasion for the youth Moonlight, and the praise of the Blessed One with verses is the smile made with the statement of true qualities as the prelude.
