All those immediately surrounded the Blessed One, appearing very beautiful, just as a full moon in the center of a spotless sky is surrounded by a multitude of stars. When the Blessed One entered the city, and when my staff's threshold was where the Blessed One's feet were placed, the great earth shook in six ways. These have already been explained before. To show that very meaning again in verse, like, "When the Guide went to that supreme city," and so on. Sentient beings became greatly joyful. They were free from hunger and thirst. Those with incomplete faculties obtained complete faculties. The pretas also obtained happiness by being touched by the rays of the Thus-Gone One. The earth also shook greatly in six ways. However, there was no harm to any sentient being; there was no harm. The gods who travel in the sky also hold various kinds of umbrellas. Hundreds of thousands of cymbals, even without being struck, emitted their own sweet sounds from the center of the sky. Hundreds of thousands of trees also blossomed at that time and bowed to the Blessed One. Horses, elephants, herds of cattle, and lords of wild animals also uttered sweet and pleasing sounds with minds of great joy. Land-owning kings who came from various directions also bowed and prostrated with their heads on the ground. Some scattered various kinds of ornaments, such as pearl necklaces, armlets, anklets, crest jewels, bracelets, and earrings. Those sentient beings who were extremely tormented, afflicted by various kinds of harm, and pierced by the pain of sorrow, became happy at that very instant. Various flocks of birds that travel in the center of the sky also uttered sweet and pleasing sounds. Those who heard those sounds also had their attachment, hatred, and ignorance pacified, and they obtained forbearance that accords with the profound Dharma. They would even become Buddhas.

The Tathagata prophesies. It is called "At that time, afflictions will not arise." By the blessing of the Tathagata, having been separated from afflictions, with a mind of great joy, they prostrate to the Tathagata and generate the mind of Bodhi. From each pore of hair, hundreds of thousands of rays of light emanate, and with the light overwhelming everything, the gods such as the sun are unaware of their own light. Impurity, defilement, and darkness disappear, for it is due to afflictions that impure appearances arise. Otherwise, if all afflictions and their imprints have been abandoned, how could there be an occasion for impure appearances to arise? It is like the moonlight purifying everything completely once more. The flowers scattered by the gods become flowers spread across the earth. The flowers scattered by the people become magnificent umbrellas of flowers in the sky. When the Bhagavan walks in the middle of the street, he manifests emanations and teaches the Dharma to sentient beings. The gods of Akanistha also come with various offerings in their hands. Likewise, Yakshas, Gandharvas, Asuras, Mahoragas, and sages, both those who subdue and those who benefit, gather and prostrate at the feet of the Tathagata. Gods of villages, cities, charnel grounds, forests, and river deities also come. Such immeasurable miraculous displays of magical power are difficult to comprehend even after hundreds of thousands of kalpas. The power of the main qualities entering without impurity is: Like the sky, immeasurable, within the realm of Manjushri's wisdom. Shown when the Tathagata placed his feet on the threshold of the gate of the supreme city. How can my mind comprehend it? The physical body, accompanied by birth and death, is the root of extreme suffering. May I be connected to such merit in all my lives. I have not had the merit to be accompanied by this seed of merit. Thus it is declared, what is so amazing in the world? The explanation of the tenth chapter, Entering the City, is complete. Now, in order to explain the chapter on upholding the Sutras,

Thereafter, the Blessed One and others went to the house of the youth Moonlight. Having arrived, they sat on the prepared seats. The assembly of Bodhisattvas and the assembly of monks also took their respective seats as appropriate. Then, the youth Moonlight, knowing that the Blessed One, the assembly of Bodhisattvas, and the assembly of monks were seated, satisfied them with food of a hundred flavors that he had previously prepared himself. The term 'tended' means that he made them comfortable according to their wishes. When the Blessed One had finished eating and put down the bowl, and knowing that the Blessed One had washed his hands, he offered cloths worth a hundred billion gold coins as offerings for teaching the Dharma. To the Bodhisattvas, he offered one cloth each. To the monks, he offered three Dharma robes each. Then, he stood up, folded his palms, and praised the Blessed One with verses that conformed to the proper conduct: 'Without birth and without cessation,' and so forth. 'Without a body' means that there is no body in the Dharmakaya. Why is that? Because there is no birth. For that very reason, there is no cessation. Because it has completely transcended the realm of thought, it is said to be inconceivable. This is praise from the perspective of the Dharmakaya. 'Form and marks are perfectly complete' is from the perspective of the Sambhogakaya. 'Born of wisdom' is because it necessarily arises from meditating on the Prajnaparamita. 'Also possesses the power of skillful means' is because it benefits all sentient beings with the skillful means of impartial great compassion, and in the ultimate truth, possesses a mind like the sky. 'Ocean of wisdom' refers to prostrating to the basis of omniscience. So, how does one engage in activities such as monasteries, food, drink, and teaching the Dharma? 'Abiding in the realm of mindfulness.' That is, whoever possesses mindfulness is called that. Sleep is joy and bliss. Drink is samadhi. Food is dhyana. Emptiness is a solitary place, because one always abides in emptiness, therefore a solitary place
