The term "many guides" refers to the fact that, in order to make offerings and serve the Tathagata, he mingled with the groups of young people who were not riding, and was surrounded by an immeasurable assembly of attendants. He emerged from the Hot Springs Gate of the great city of Rajagriha and went to where the King of Mountains, Vulture Peak, was, and where the Blessed One was. Having arrived, it refers to: The wide and vast gate due to the power of asceticism is the Hot Springs Gate. Also, "Tapoda" refers to Vulture Peak Mountain. The gate that faces it is called the Hot Springs Gate, or it is named after the Southern Gate. Having arrived, he circumambulated the Blessed One three times and sat down on one side. Then, rising from his seat, he bowed to the Blessed One with folded palms, and in order to announce that the time had come, he said, "Blessed One, it is time for the meal." This refers to the fact that the time for the monks' meal is in the morning. Time is the hour. Folding palms means definitely grasping everything completely. Cleanliness means respectfully arranging. Now it feels like that time has come. The Blessed One knew that the time had come, and thought in his heart, "It is time for me to accept the meal at my residence together with the Bodhisattva Sangha." Wishing to express all of this in verses, he said, "I have adorned all the excellent cities." And so on, the city and my house are also well decorated. Food with a hundred flavors is also gathered and arranged, and well prepared. The time for the meal has come, please Blessed One, together with your son, go to the city. The illuminating sun dispels the darkness, rises high, and the time for the meal has arrived and is near. Therefore, please come to my residence together with your son. This is an exhortation using the meaning of the word "deva." There, it became a great benefit for many sentient beings. Just as Dipamkara Buddha prophesied to you, I also ask you to personally prophesy to the world. After hearing the prophecy of the world here, I will enter into unsurpassed perfect enlightenment.

All of these will generate the mind of enlightenment, and gradually, in order to liberate sentient beings, countless Bodhisattvas wearing the armor of vows will appear. The Tathagatas do not abide in Nirvana, therefore, there are no unsuitable sentient beings here. This expresses the meaning of generating the mind of enlightenment with an unwavering mind. 'Please rise, please rise,' this is because it was requested twice with great urgency. The thought of going home: 'How you came to my courtyard, similarly, I will go to the Bodhi tree.' The meaning is: Just as you came to my courtyard, I will go to the Bodhi tree. I will go to that Bodhi tree, sit in the vajra posture, abide on the immovable vajra seat, and surely conquer the four maras, and attain enlightenment as you did. 'Enjoy, son of the Victorious One, delightful as the moon!' and so on, meaning: What you desire will be accomplished. 'Food, he will go home.' Meaning, having said these words, the time had come, and rising from the seat, he put on the lower garment, donned the Dharma robes, and carrying the bowl, together with the great Sangha of monks, the Blessed One went from the Hot Springs Gate to the great city of Rajagriha for alms. Bodhisattvas and gods and others surrounded him, and humans and non-humans made offerings and praises, with the great power of the Buddha, the great blessing of the Buddha, the great miraculous power of the Buddha, and various kinds of miracles, in order to demonstrate the miracle of non-discriminating conduct. 'Radiating billions of rays,' meaning, from the parts of the body, this is the remainder. Various musical instruments, various umbrellas, banners, and other excellent offerings, and countless flocks of birds such as swans, cranes, and geese making pleasant and delightful sounds.

Uttering various kinds of sounds, revolving in the center of the sky, making sounds of praise. The lord of yakshas, beautiful in form, and the crown of the lord, etc., countless lords of yakshas, holding clubs in their hands, drive away the wicked. Kings of great power coming from various directions, known as great power holders, riding horses, oxen, chariots, and infantry, adorned with ornaments, not riding but being led, are completely surrounded. Brahma also, on the right side of the Blessed One, makes offerings, attends, and reveres, and follows along. On the left, the lord of the gods follows. The entire surface of the sky, filled without gaps with sons of gods, holding various offerings, with hands clasped. After the sky is filled, they abide for the sake of offering to the Blessed One, and so forth, surrounded by all those mentioned above, the Blessed One departs from the gate of the hot springs. There, saying 'like this' and so on, is for the sake of clarifying what was said earlier. The Buddha, the Thus-Gone One, knowing the time, and so on, having spoken, knowing the time, showing various displays of light, making countless Buddha-fields appear luminous, and then departs.
