is the teacher. "Those who are Thus-gone who abide or have completely passed into nirvana" means that in all places and times, by thoroughly transforming with thought, that offering will be accomplished. That is the meaning. In order to show the effort to perform the offering, for example, Dharma robes and alms, etc., the roots of virtue arising from offering and reverence are also completely dedicated to obtaining samadhi, which means that if one obtains samadhi, one can even attain Buddhahood. That is the meaning. That is not offering to the Thus-gone One by fully enjoying desires or desiring a little worldly Dharma such as the heavenly realms. One thinks of the Dharma, not of others. If one desires those, then one cannot see the Thus-gone One as the Dharmakaya, because it is not a place of attachment. Also, that is seeing after seeing the Rupakaya, that is the meaning. To strive for the nature of Dharma is the ultimate offering, not seeing the Thus-gone One, not seeing oneself, not expecting other Vipaka, this is called the Thus-gone One's offering of the three circles being completely pure. If one offers the Thus-gone One with this offering, the Bodhisattva will well obtain this samadhi, and quickly realize the unsurpassed, perfectly complete, and perfectly enlightened enlightenment, the cause and effect are in accordance, it is certain, that is the meaning. These meanings are spoken in verses, that is, with the sound of verses, etc., as before. Anointing incense to the one with infinite wisdom, etc. For etc. He who has infinite wisdom, that is what is said to the Thus-gone One, just by offering incense to the Thus-gone One, one will have the fragrance of unsurpassed discipline. Offering incense to the Thus-gone One with the purity of the three circles will give rise to small patience in accordance with the nature of wisdom. For the person who practices great patience, even if he is cut into the measure of a person, it means that even if he is cut into the measure of a person, dividing the body into pieces, it is like the sands of the Ganges for kalpas.

Moreover, they will not turn their minds away from the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, because they do not fixate on things such as what is to be severed and the severer. Why is it called the name of patience? Because it enters into patience. By what cause is it called patience? If asked: How is it also called compliant? By what cause is it non-returning? How is it also called a Bodhisattva? If asked in this way, it is the patience of compliance with the mind desiring the selflessness of all dharmas, because it abandons all doubts and benefits the realization of the Buddha's teachings. Therefore, it is called compliant patience. In the presence of a Bodhisattva who possesses such patience, the evil demon comes in the guise of a Buddha and speaks these words to turn him back: "Unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment is extremely difficult to obtain, therefore you should become a Hearer." Even if he says this, he will not turn back, because it is the cause of entering into the name of Bodhisattva. The so-called "causing sentient beings to awaken from incompatible views," etc., the sixty-two views, headed by the view of the aggregates, are called incompatible views because they show the evil path. Because of turning back from them, all dharmas that show the true path are called views that show selflessness, causing sentient beings to awaken, which means causing them to practice. The so-called "not being the path to attain immortality," etc., turning back from such a path of falling into wrong views, and placing sentient beings on the path to attain nectar, therefore it is called a Bodhisattva. Similarly, having well entered the path of compliant patience, after realizing the selflessness of the nature of all dharmas, even in a dream, the clinging to sentient beings and life, etc., will not arise. Even if demons, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, come before them in the form of Buddhas and say that there are sentient beings and life, etc., they will answer with an unwavering mind: "Possessing measure."

With keen wisdom, through the power of realizing selflessness, one truly understands that beings and life, etc., do not exist, thus it is said. Your Buddha is also not a Buddha, because he proclaims the wrong path, like the Samkhya and other non-Buddhists. The demon himself, in order to deceive my mind, has come in the form of a Buddha, thus it is said. With wisdom, one knows that the aggregates are empty. Etc., one knows that the five aggregates, which are separate from self, etc., are empty. Having known this, if afflictions and fire accompany each other, how can worldly people be called Bodhisattvas? Merely with terms, one makes distinctions. Etc., it is said, it is merely a term, so in reality it is empty. This term is not the ultimate truth, even if one has attained Nirvana, one still uses terms as if one has not attained Nirvana, just like the differences in the world, in order to show with an analogy. As when a son is born to a man. Etc., it is said, as when a son is born to someone, and the son is named Devadatta, etc., that name has not come from anywhere. Similarly, the name Bodhisattva has also not come from anywhere, it is merely fabricated. Similarly, what is the self-nature of the aggregates, etc.? If one definitively examines the self-nature, and examines the Bodhisattva, beings, and life, etc., it will not become an object of focus, that itself is the Bodhisattva, not another. From the middle of the ocean. Etc., it is said, even if a fire occurs in the middle of the great ocean, it is possible, but a Bodhisattva will never have the thought of clinging to the aggregates, etc., or have the thought of clinging to life, etc. For this, thinking: there is no being, no birth, no death, no self-established nature. Whoever realizes that all phenomena are like illusions, empty of self-nature, is called a Bodhisattva. In order to show that realizing the self-nature with such phenomena is not something that can be found elsewhere. Non-Buddhists cannot truly understand. Etc., it is said, non-Buddhists who are firmly bound by the view of the aggregates are unable to know. Those who are not non-Buddhists.
