Meditating on the absence of self-nature. Wherever there is equality, the mind is equal, the essence of the Dharmakaya. Thus it is said. The fourth chapter, the chapter on Samadhi, is completed. Then, from the words "again" and so on, the chapter on the Gift of Melody is taught, for the purpose of showing that everything is to be abandoned. As in "like a head and clothes on fire" and so on. Like a person striving to extinguish a fire burning on his head and clothes, abandoning the assembly of relatives and so on, and also abandoning the enjoyment of royal power and freedom and so on, and coming forth from the household life, this means abandoning everything and going forth completely. As in "a young man born before" and so on. Using the Gift of Melody as an example, these are clearly shown, as in "possessing intelligence and feet" and so on, which have already been taught. As in "the first assembly of disciples of that Thus-Gone One numbered eighty million" and so on. Exhaustion of outflows means the exhaustion of afflictions. Abandoning burdens means being separated from the burdens of afflictions, aggregates, vows, and diligence. Obtaining one's own benefit means obtaining the realization of one's own benefit through the power of meditating on the path taught by the Thus-Gone One. Exhaustion of connection to existence means that those who have completely exhausted the nine connections to existence, such as ignorance, are called that. Liberation of mind through true speech means the liberation of mind and the liberation of wisdom of whomsoever. Whoever has extreme liberation of mind through meditating on the true path is called that. Obtaining mastery over all minds means that those who have completely pacified all afflictions have obtained mastery over their own minds and have become an assembly. Likewise, the second assembly numbered seventy million. The third assembly numbered sixty million. Countless Bodhisattvas also gathered, and as in "upholding the sacred Dharma" and so on, this is to show that the retinue is extremely vast and complete. At that time, the lifespan of that Blessed One was forty thousand years, which is to show that the time was very long. The prosperity of this Jambudvipa means the completeness of wealth. Vast

Because the territory is very vast. Happiness means the absence of diseases and so on. A good year means that all crops are abundant. The joy in everyone's heart means that one should be joyful. A pleasant mood means that there is no harm from demons and so on. The so-called being filled with many people means that there is no harm whatsoever. At that time, two kings appeared in this Jambudvipa, named Steadfast Power and Great Power, each ruling half. Among them, in the direction ruled by Great Power, the Tathagata Melodious Voice appeared. After that, the Tathagata Melodious Voice was invited by the king and his retinue, together with the Shravaka Sangha and the Bodhisattva Sangha, so that they could freely enjoy all necessities, such as alms. After that, the Tathagata will surely preach the Dharma to make the king and his retinue joyfully tend towards the extremely pure and ultimate Nirvana, assisted by precepts and clothing washing, etc. This is the brief meaning. The meaning of these contents is expressed in verses, as before. The so-called "givers depend on each other," and so on. The Tathagata does not praise the giving for enjoyment, because the offering made for the purpose of attaining Buddhahood is the main thing, so those who preach the Dharma with the mind of benefiting all sentient beings, their Dharma giving is the main reason for attaining Buddhahood. The so-called "relying on the undefiled Dharma," and so on. The so-called "great meaning transformation" means attaining great meaning, that is, attaining Buddhahood. This is its meaning. Because of the undefiled mind, giving the Dharma and generating great compassion for all sentient beings, one will quickly achieve Buddhahood. To illustrate this, it is said, "Those like them will quickly become Buddhas." In order to emphasize relying on solitude through the opposite way, it is said, "Being very attached to desires," and so on. To sons, daughters, wives, and relatives
