所谓“无有”,即不会因为“他们没有尊敬我”而心怀不悦。又因为恒常不舍修习瑜伽,所以对于不恭敬自己的人,不会感到沮丧,这叫做“于不敬不沮丧”。所谓“于诽谤不嗔”,即不追究所说之言和应受诽谤之事,以观察世间诸法的力量,对诽谤不起嗔恨。也就是不起嗔恨之心。所谓“于赞叹平等”,即一心投入善法,对赞叹等不起分别念,并且因为寻求佛法之心坚定,即使赞叹等是真实的,也对赞叹保持平等心。所谓“未得不沮丧”,即因为追随往昔所造之业,明白“这是未行布施的果报”,所以对未得之物不沮丧,也就是对未得之物不生沮丧之心。所谓“不亲近在家者”,即舍弃为了获得利益而进行的亲近。所谓“不亲近出家者”,即舍弃与出家人闲聊,不致力于禅定和等持,而寻求平等安住,这叫做“不亲近出家者”。所谓“舍弃非行境”,即不以贪欲、嗔恨、愚痴、我慢、怀疑等烦恼之因为行境,因为与法性相违。因此称为“舍弃非行境”。所谓“于行境中游行”,即修习如前所说的道,并且引导他人也修习此道,这叫做“于行境中游行”。所谓“圆满一切行”,即菩萨的行为不紊乱,使他人心生欢喜,并引导他们进入菩提道,这叫做“圆满一切行”。所谓“以各种方式舍弃非行”,即自己也守护一切白法,并且引导他人也安住于此,这叫做“以各种方式舍弃非行”。所谓“不毁坏种姓”,即

That which is called "absence of..." means not becoming disheartened by thinking, "They have not shown me respect." Also, because one constantly and unremittingly practices yoga, one is not discouraged by those who do not show respect; this is called "not being discouraged by disrespect." That which is called "absence of anger towards slander" means not pursuing what is said and what should be slandered, and by the power of examining the various phenomena of the world, one is without anger towards slander. That is, not generating a mind of anger. That which is called "equanimity towards praise" means that, having entered into virtuous Dharma, one does not become discriminatory towards praise and so forth, and because the mind is steadfast in seeking the Dharma, even if praise and so forth are true, one maintains equanimity towards praise. That which is called "not being discouraged by not obtaining" means that, because one follows the karma of past actions, understanding that "this is the result of not having given alms," one is not discouraged by not obtaining; that is, not generating a mind of discouragement by not obtaining. That which is called "not associating with householders" means abandoning approaching closely for the sake of gain. That which is called "not associating with renunciates" means abandoning engaging in idle talk with renunciates, not applying oneself to meditation and samadhi, and seeking to abide in equanimity; this is called "not associating with renunciates." That which is called "abandoning non-practice" means not making the causes of afflictions such as desire, hatred, delusion, pride, and doubt the object of practice, because they are contrary to the nature of Dharma. Therefore, it is called "abandoning non-practice." That which is called "wandering in the realm of practice" means meditating on the path as spoken of before, and also leading others to engage in it; this is called "wandering in the realm of practice." That which is called "perfecting all conduct" means that the conduct of Bodhisattvas is not confused, making the minds of others happy, and leading them into the path of enlightenment; this is called "perfecting all conduct." That which is called "abandoning non-practice in various ways" means that one also protects all white dharmas, and also leads others to abide in them; this is called "abandoning non-practice in various ways." Because of definitely practicing the meaning of what has been vowed, therefore, one does not destroy the Tathagata lineage. Otherwise, vowing one thing and practicing another is not in accordance with the lineage, therefore it destroys the lineage. In order not to destroy it, one should thoroughly establish the accomplishment of self and others as spoken. Called protecting the doctrine, it is not abandoning the Bodhicitta, and constantly seeking profound Dharma, making the determination complete, and practicing in accordance with the Dharma and the Dharma, this is protecting the Tathagata's doctrine. Called few words, it is because of focusing on Samadhi, constantly abiding in equanimity, therefore turning away from speech, and only accomplishing what is needed, this is called few words. Called soft, it is because of melting with the cause of wisdom, without being stiff like wood, this is called soft. Called skilled in answering words, it is because of having the fearlessness of reason and liberation, therefore having the ability to answer, so one is skilled in the answers of debaters and rebutters. Called defeating the rebutters, it is because of well accomplishing the meaning of the Dharma nature with प्रमाण (pramāṇa, प्रमाण, pramāṇa, measure), establishing one's own school, and well accomplishing the meaning of refuting others' schools by harming them with प्रमाण (pramāṇa, प्रमाण, pramāṇa, measure), this is called defeating the rebutters. Called acting in time, it is because of benefiting by knowing the time, and knowing that the time to defeat is this time, knowing the difference between times that are not in accordance and in accordance, therefore it is called acting in time. Called not trusting ordinary beings, it is because ordinary beings see the faults of the Dharma of children born from causes, knowing that it is not a place of trust and abandoning it, this is called not trusting ordinary beings. Not discriminating against those who are suffering, it is because of having equal minds towards all sentient beings, without the nature of inferiority and superiority, therefore not despising. Otherwise, discriminating, except for the meaning of taming.
