Causing what should not be abandoned to be abandoned, and completely transcending from that, this is called abandoning harm. What is called associating with virtuous individuals, virtuous individuals are the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Associating with them means taking refuge in them, listening to the Dharma spoken by them, and not separating from them, this is associating with virtuous individuals. What is called relying on virtuous individuals, is constantly relying on the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, as well as the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and spiritual friends, without separating in mind, this is called relying on virtuous individuals. What is called abandoning evil individuals, evil individuals are those who do not have faith in the Tathagata's teachings, harbor thoughts of malicious slander, whose minds are burned by hatred, who are lazy, and who turn their backs on practicing the Dharma, these people are not suitable vessels, abandoning these people is called abandoning evil individuals. What is called cultivating dhyanas, is the joy of dhyana that is free from conceptualization and so on, for the sake of the liberation wish of the infinite realms of sentient beings, and experiencing unpleasantness, this is called cultivating dhyanas. What is called not savoring the taste of dhyana, is not seeking rebirth in the three realms by the power of dhyana, but with the intention to benefit sentient beings, and with the intention to attain the higher and higher qualities of the Buddhas, not savoring the taste of dhyana and the bliss of dhyana. What is called transforming through supernormal knowledge, is abiding in the five supernormal knowledges that always follow, and knowing the minds of sentient beings with the wisdom of the supreme and non-supreme, which is extremely difficult to know, and then explaining and distinguishing them to others, this is called transforming through supernormal knowledge. What is called name and designation: Name is empty of name, there is no name on name, all dharmas are without name, yet they are proclaimed by name. By this (passage) it is explained that, with the designation that was originally unborn, as the meaning of conventional truth, this is called name and designation. The established worl

The term "ྙད་" refers to names such as male and female that are established by the world. Similarly, by saying "cannot enter into terminology," it is acknowledged by distinguishing between establishment and terminology. "Truly destroying imputation" means experiencing the nature of the inexpressible dharma, and knowing that all dharmas are inexpressible, which is called truly destroying imputation. "Turning away from samsara" means not engaging in actions that cause samsara, because it is the source of all faults. Knowing this and turning away from the afflicted mind is called turning away from samsara, not abandonment. "Not seeking gain" means being content with even a small amount of gain because craving has been abandoned, which is called having few desires. Not seeking gain refers to one's own benefit. For those who are engaged in the benefit of others, it is called having few desires because it is not driven by craving. "Not accepting gain and respect" means not desiring or thinking about it in the mind, and not accepting gain that becomes the cause of sin, which is called not accepting gain and respect. "Not being discouraged by unpleasant words" means not being discouraged or disheartened by unpleasant words, i.e., proclaiming faults, because there is no strong attachment to the aggregates of form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, which is called not being discouraged by unpleasant words. "Not being attached to true praise" means that attachment is acceptance. Even if praise of true qualities is spoken, one does not become happy because of seeking gain and respect. Because gain and respect are the cause of obstructing virtue and are not in accordance with virtue, one does not become happy by praise, which is called not being attached to praise. "Being equanimous towards those who show respect" means understanding that the results of actions are determined individually, and understanding the right time and the wrong time. Some are regarded as one's own, while others are treated with equanimity, which is called being equanimous towards those who show respect. Not being discouraged by those who do not show respect.
