Even if non-thingness and selflessness are used to establish selflessness, even so, it is only the selflessness of a person, not the selflessness of all dharmas, because the dharma of consciousness has not been refuted. From the very beginning, free from such doubts, the meaning of "emptiness" and so on, is from the very beginning, peaceful and unborn, and so on. Form, feeling, perception, formation, and the aggregates of consciousness, because they are unborn, are therefore peaceful from the very beginning. Just as there is no external object, so too is consciousness unborn, hence it is said to be peaceful from the very beginning. The five aggregates are proven to be emptiness, therefore all dharmas are also proven to be emptiness, so there is no coming from anywhere, no going anywhere, no abiding anywhere, because there is no abiding by nature. The so-called "illusory nature is always without essence," means without essence, that is, all internal and external things have no substance that is the essence of self and so on. The nature of illusion, like a phantom, makes children extremely confused. In ultimate truth, "all is pure and utterly pure like the sky," meaning pure, because it is pure by nature, free from clouds and defilements, etc., so it is said that all dharmas are utterly pure like the sky. The so-called "neither blue nor yellow nor white," etc., because it is free from colors such as blue, yellow, and white, the qualities such as blue depend on things, and if things have no nature, then those that depend on them are extremely without length or shortness, just names. Moreover, it is refuted by "not inside, not outside, and not visible between the two." Therefore, the mind is solitary and not to be thought of by the mind. All that is free from sound is unspeakable. In an instant, because there is nothing to indicate, all internal and external natures are free from sound. The so-called "when speaking, letters do not change," etc., whether speaking or not speaking, letters, etc.

There is no end, and no place to go. It is called "no place to go." It is okay to go to other places, and it is okay not to go. It is okay to speak, and it is okay not to speak. The nature of letters is shown to be inexhaustible. In this way, whoever understands well that the nature of letters is inexhaustible, just like the nature of the Dharmadhatu, will become the inexhaustible nature of the Dharmadhatu. As in "The Buddhas of hundreds of thousands of kotis have passed away," etc., no matter how many countless hundreds of thousands of kotis of Buddhas have passed away, even if they have taught hundreds of thousands of kotis of Dharmas, the Dharma and letters will not be exhausted, because there is no cessation where there is no birth. What is no birth like? It has been explained before. As in "Hundreds of thousands of Sutras have been spoken," etc., even though countless Sutras have been spoken in accordance with the beings to be tamed, one should also know that all Dharmas are without letters, and one will not be attached to them due to conceptualization. Even if the Dharma of no-self, no sentient beings, etc., is taught, it will not be exhausted, because there is no deterioration. As in "The wise one speaks all words," etc., even if one teaches the Dharma by accomplishing definite words for all sentient beings with all languages, it will not steal their minds, because he has no attachment to all sentient beings. As in "All words are like the echo of a mountain valley," etc., one should know that all sounds are like the echoes in mountain valleys and caves, and have no self-nature, so that one will not develop attachment and craving for them. The so-called "that word" refers to whatever sound is used to proclaim all Dharmas, because it is momentary, it is not stable. Just as sound is momentary and unstable, all Dharmas are unstable. Signless is the absence of signs, the expresser, and the expressed. Solitude is pure because of solitude itself. Because of purity, it is emptiness, and it should be taught in this way. The conceptualizations of the distinctions between conditioned and unconditioned phenomena are not present in those sages, the Tathagatas, and the great Bodhisattvas. They are for all sentient beings who are born in all realms of existence.
