所谓“不舍弃学处”,是指了悟业与果报必定相关联,从而示现对真谛和三宝的信任;同样,恭敬如来即是所谓的不舍弃学处。所谓“安住于禅定”,是指精通于了悟心与心所生法生灭的自性,以及对于无有缺漏的禅定一心专注,即是所谓安住于禅定。所谓“知晓众生心意”,是指为了知晓下、中、上等根器差别不同的众生心意,并随之宣说相应的佛法,了知众生的根器是上等或非上等,即是所谓知晓众生心意。所谓“了知转生之差别”,是指在五道轮回中,菩萨们为了利益众生而转生于任何之处,并有意识地接受转生的知晓,即是所谓了知转生之差别。所谓“了知无边智慧”,是指了知世间和出世间的行业处和工巧处,以及了知其无量差别的智慧,即是所谓了知无边智慧。所谓“了知言辞之密意”,包括对众生心意的密意、对教法的密意、对其他意义的密意以及对其他时节的密意。了悟到依此彼等密意而宣说的具有密意的言辞,即是所谓了知言辞之密意。所谓“完全舍弃居家”,是指身语意远离,完全舍弃一切贪执,出家并具有出离心,即是所谓完全舍弃居家。所谓“不喜悦三界”,是指通过了悟三界各自的自性而无有执着,并通过无所缘的修持而不喜悦三界。所谓“不怯懦之心”,是指不舍弃作为积累无量福德与智慧资粮之因的菩提心,以及恒常如法受持而不舍弃之心,即是所谓不怯懦之心。对佛法

The so-called "not abandoning the training" refers to understanding that actions and their consequences are inevitably linked, thereby demonstrating faith in the truth and the Three Jewels; similarly, respecting the Tathagata is what is meant by not abandoning the training. The so-called "abiding in samadhi" refers to being skilled in understanding the nature of the arising and ceasing of mind and mental phenomena, and focusing one's mind single-pointedly on flawless samadhis, which is what is meant by abiding in samadhi. The so-called "knowing the minds of beings" refers to knowing the minds of beings with different faculties, such as inferior, middling, and superior, and teaching the Dharma in accordance with them. Knowing whether beings' faculties are superior or not is what is meant by knowing the minds of beings. The so-called "knowing the distinctions of rebirth" refers to the knowledge of bodhisattvas consciously taking rebirth in any of the five realms of existence in order to benefit beings, which is what is meant by knowing the distinctions of rebirth. The so-called "knowing infinite knowledge" refers to knowing the fields of action and crafts of the mundane and supramundane, and knowing their immeasurable differences, which is what is meant by knowing infinite knowledge. The so-called "knowing the hidden meanings of words" includes the hidden meaning of beings' minds, the hidden meaning of teachings, the hidden meaning of other meanings, and the hidden meaning of other times. Understanding the words with hidden meanings that are taught according to those hidden meanings is what is meant by knowing the hidden meanings of words. The so-called "completely abandoning the household life" refers to the separation of body, speech, and mind, completely abandoning all attachments, renouncing the world, and having the mind of renunciation, which is what is meant by completely abandoning the household life. The so-called "not delighting in the three realms" refers to not being attached by understanding the nature of each of the three realms, and not delighting in the three realms through the practice of non-objectification. The so-called "unwavering mind" refers to not abandoning the mind of enlightenment, which is the cause of accumulating immeasurable merit and wisdom, and the mind of constantly and correctly upholding it without abandoning it, which is what is meant by the unwavering mind. "Non-attachment" means that because all dharmas are seen as equal in nature, one does not become attached to any dharma. This is called "non-attachment to dharma." "Upholding the True Dharma" means that one truly accepts with a mind that does not abandon the dharmas that lead to the attainment of Buddhahood. This is called "upholding the True Dharma." "Protecting the Dharma" means that those who slander the True Dharma and speak ill of others are refuted with reason and brought to one's own side. This is called "protecting the Dharma." "Believing in the Ripening of Karma" means that one abandons sinful actions out of shame for oneself and others, and believes that unwholesome actions lead to hell and other lower realms, while wholesome actions lead to rebirth as gods and humans. Therefore, one constantly strives to seek the Dharma. This is called "believing in the ripening of karma." "Skilled in Discipline" means that one naturally does not commit faults, and understands the distinctions of transgressions, such as the remaining offenses of the Sangha and other serious offenses. This is called "skilled in discipline." "Pacifying the Basis of Disputes" means that if one dwells within the Sangha, disputes will inevitably arise because there is a basis for disputes. Therefore, completely abandoning the Sangha and commotion is called "pacifying the basis of disputes." "Non-contention" means abandoning the elaborations that arise from the basis of worldly disputes. Non-contention is non-arguing, which is the non-contentious dharma of a renunciant. "Ground of Patience" means enduring harm to body and mind through the power of the nature of reality. This is called "ground of patience." "Truly Holding Patience" means accepting suffering, not being concerned about harm caused by others, and gaining a true understanding of the Dharma. After gaining patience, one constantly cultivates it, and maintains equanimity towards the evil words of others and long-standing verbal attacks, without allowing patience to be broken. This is called "truly holding patience." "Skilled in Discriminating Dharma" means that one does not cling to anything through the distinctions of aggregates, elements, and sense bases, as well as the detailed distinctions of the afflicted and purified aspects.
