Abiding in the contemplation of feelings, one will not fall into the view of taking feelings as self. Abiding in the contemplation of the mind, one will not fall into the view of taking the mind as self. Abiding in the contemplation of dharmas, one will not fall into the view of taking dharmas as self, this is what is said. Like this, by binding the mind to the object of the four close placements of mindfulness, one correctly combines with the four right abandonments. With the four right abandonments, one can abandon unwholesome dharmas and perfect all wholesome dharmas, this is what is said. Then, one completely grasps the dwelling place with the feet of miraculous power. After completely grasping the dwelling place, one thoroughly distinguishes with discrimination the perception of grasping the body and mind as a whole as male and female, this is the suppression of the intermediate affliction. With the four feet of miraculous power, one will abandon the holistic grasping of body and mind, this is what is said. Therefore, on the path combined with undefiled wisdom, having abandoned disbelief and so on, which are contrary to the transcendental dharma, one abides in faith, which is the antidote. Those faculties are stabilized by the powers. The five faculties and five powers nourish disbelief, laziness, forgetfulness, distraction, and lack of awareness, this is what is said. Then, ignorance of dependent origination, ignorance of the selflessness of the person, and ignorance of the selflessness of phenomena are suppressed by the limbs of enlightenment. With the seven limbs of enlightenment, one nourishes extreme delusion and ignorance towards all phenomena, this is what is said. This is the evil path, and the path is determined by the path. With the eightfold noble path, one nourishes wrong wisdom, all external opponents, and those who enter the evil path. This is what is said. In these ways, whatever wisdom that becomes the antidote to great and intermediate afflictions, whether it eliminates or suppresses them, is called the wisdom of holding the support. And this Kashyapa is the true medicine. Light!

Odsrungs, Bodhisattvas should strive for this true healing. Odsrungs, among all the doctors and medical students in Jambudvipa, Jivaka is the most excellent. Even if all the sentient beings in the three-thousand-great-thousand world systems were to become like the king of medicine, Jivaka, they would all be attached to views and regret, and would not be able to know, teach, or practice what the medicine for healing is. Therefore, the Bodhisattva should think like this: I should not be content with just being a worldly doctor, I should fully seek the medicine of wisdom that transcends the world, and I should also truly accumulate all roots of virtue. After thinking like this, in order to seek the medicine of wisdom that transcends the world, he goes to the four directions and performs true healing for sentient beings, and heals sentient beings with true healing. So, what is the medicine of wisdom that transcends the world? It is like this, by belittling all the afflictions that are surrounded by desire, hatred, and ignorance, it becomes the wisdom that is the antidote to subtle afflictive tendencies. What is that? If there is an antidote that is the antidote to suppression, then one is skilled in the three places. What is called the wisdom of dependent origination is being skilled in dependent arising. What is called the wisdom of believing in the absence of self, the absence of sentient beings, the absence of healers, and the absence of persons is believing in the absence of self in persons. What is called not looking at the phenomena of emptiness and signlessness is the absence of self in phenomena. What is called the diligence of completely seeking the mind is that in order to be liberated from all afflictions, without relying on instructions, there are four kinds of ignorance, namely, not understanding the general characteristics, the specific characteristics, the characteristics of afflictions, and the characteristics of purification, therefore one should strive to examine one's own mind inwardly. Among these, the general characteristics of the mind should be understood as three kinds, that is, one completely seeks the mind in this way, or becomes greedy, or hates.
