Phenomena arising in dependence on interconnectedness are not made empty by the nature of complete imputation or the nature of complete accomplishment. Why is that? Because this is the dharmata of phenomena, that is, whatever nature of complete imputation or complete accomplishment reveals phenomena, up to the point of no self-nature. Therefore, for the view that wisdom exists and its opposite exists, and that the nature of complete imputation and complete accomplishment are separate, this avoids the extreme of imputation that is completely revealed. For the antidote to the seven kinds of opposites, it starts from what is called 'emptiness in wisdom' and goes up to 'no self-nature.' Among the seven kinds of opposites, the antidote to that view is emptiness itself. The arising of the signs of desire, hatred, and delusion, and the karmic actions of samsara, their antidote is non-manifestation. The arising of its result, its antidote is non-arising. The arising of pleasure and pain after arising, its antidote is non-occurrence. The pride of 'I' that arises from seeing emptiness, its antidote is called the selflessness of the nature of phenomena. Therefore, by separately realizing no-self, one prevents grasping at what is not a person as a person. Up to what is called 'indistinguishable from the two,' the rest prevent grasping at what is not a dharma as a dharma. Light Protector, emptiness is not for destroying a person, but 'emptiness is also empty' is to prevent grasping at a person and a dharma from nothingness, therefore, one should not practice emptiness that exists to destroy a person. What is called 'emptiness' is to show that it destroys grasping at a dharma from nothingness, if emptiness is also empty by the nature of complete imputation, then why even observe all dharmas? It prevents grasping at the non-existence of the nature of the imputed dharma.

The edge of emptiness is extensively proclaimed to fully reveal that it exists in the same way at all times for ordinary beings, learners, and non-learners. Following because of emptiness means following for the sake of meaning, showing the method to thoroughly understand the meaning of emptiness. "The person is the path" means to eliminate following the letter. If one follows that, it is also following the letter, because whatever is nominally designated as a person, and where it is designated, both are called a person. If someone asks, "What does it mean to focus on emptiness?" The answer is: focusing on the self-nature of the emptiness of what is completely imputed, one should not follow emptiness. If one follows in that way, one will first degenerate by clinging to the person, and later degenerate by clinging to the dharma, because it is extremely unreasonable. To strongly establish that doing so will become extremely unreasonable, it is said: "Light Protector, it is superior to abide in observing the person as Mount Sumeru." By focusing on emptiness, one does not fully understand emptiness, and with pride, one does not truly comprehend the ultimate truth. If one does not comprehend, one will slander. Therefore, even if one abandons observing the person, it becomes impossible to recover, just as medicine removes the fault of disease, like "going away hungry." Arising from such a state is in emptiness, manifestly clinging to the self-nature of what is completely imputed, or manifestly clinging to the mere statement that everything is nothing. The metaphor of space is to completely abandon clinging to immutability. If someone observes with emptiness and thinks that emptiness makes form, etc., non-existent, then he is contemplating non-existence, which is clinging to its immutability. If form, etc., are non-existent by nature, then just like wanting to eliminate space, if beings practice emptiness by the nature of phenomena, they will completely think it exists, and therefore will not be afraid of it. If form, etc., do not exist, then creation will become meaningless. To completely eliminate the fault of becoming a mistake, the metaphor of the painter is shown. For example, even though a yaksha does not exist, the painter makes it fall to the ground because of his own discrimination.
