That which is called "entering into the wisdom of all-knowing," the Bodhisattva enters into the all-knowing wisdom of all sentient beings, not the Shravakas and others. That which is called "measuring oneself and not slandering one's own wisdom," the Bodhisattvas know the difference between themselves and the Shravakas and others, but the Shravakas and others do not know the difference of the Bodhisattvas. That which is called "without pride," the Bodhisattvas thoroughly understand the selflessness of phenomena, therefore that (pride) will be completely destroyed, and even if they are not afflicted, they are without pride. But the Shravakas think, "We are the difference of the place of offering." That which is called "firm in superior intention," the Bodhisattvas are firm in their superior intention in accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings, but the Shravakas abandon the benefit of sentient beings and enter into complete Nirvana. Among them, equal conduct is shown by the eight equalities of the Bodhisattva. Equal friendship is divided into three: intention, action, and the difference of time. That which is called "unfabricated love," shows the intention without contamination. That which is called "equanimity towards friends and non-friends," shows the equal conduct towards those who benefit and those who harm. That which is called "extremely loving until the end of Nirvana," shows loving at all times. That which is called "holding words, speaking with a smiling mind and a kind expression," shows equally making people happy, because it makes people happy with a joyful heart. That which is called "not abandoning the burden once taken up," shows equally becoming a friend, because the burden once taken up is not abandoned. That which is called "not completely cutting off great compassion for all sentient beings," shows equal compassion, because it is taking up the burden due to partiality. That which is called "the mind is not completely weary," shows the equality of the mind not being completely weary, because the burden is relieved without discomfort. It is for the sake of completely seeking the Holy Dharma. That which is called "never being satisfied with hearing and meaning," shows the equality of skillful means, because one is skilled in hearing and meaning, therefore one is skilled in taming according to the Dharma.

It is for this reason. Regarding one's own mistakes as faults, and scolding and reprimanding others' mistakes, this is called showing equal admonishment. If I see a fault but admonish with quarrelsome words, then it will not become equal admonishment. Completely practicing the mind of enlightenment in all actions, this is called showing equal dedication. Because all good deeds are to be equally dedicated to great enlightenment. Practicing virtue is giving without expecting fruition, such as the six perfections, in order to explain the antidote to the non-common aspects of each perfection. To be free from the respective non-common aspects of giving, etc., is to fully show the pāramitā. Because there are also precepts that do not abide in all places of existence, therefore it is said, "Precepts that do not abide in all places of existence." Patience towards all sentient beings is patience with body and speech, and there is also patience that is not with a mind without anger, therefore it is said, "Patience without anger towards all sentient beings." Diligence in completely gathering all roots of virtue refers to completely gathering the roots of virtue in accordance with the three vehicles. The so-called meditation that is separated from the formless realm should be understood as meditation that is separated from being born in the formless realm, and not samāpatti. Bodhisattvas born in the form realm will fully mature my Buddha-dharma, because they will serve the Buddhas of other worlds. Being born in the desire realm will fully mature sentient beings, but being born in the formless realm is not like that. The so-called wisdom possessed by skillful means of the four objects of gathering, is shown by the four objects of gathering. Abiding in the Dharma is correctly shown by application, nature, and result. Application has three aspects: possessing discipline, and towards those with bad tempers,
