So, merit and immovability are not like that. Those are considered to arise from the cause of ignorance of the only truth, because of clinging to "May I be happy and not suffer," so they manifest and fabricate. Therefore, even if arising from causes that do not confuse cause and effect, it is not contradictory because it arises from the condition of ignorance due to the characteristic of ignorance of the only truth. There are also those that arise from the cause of ignorance of the only truth, and there are also those that arise from the characteristic of not being ignorant of cause and effect, so it is not contradictory, and there is no fault in this. Therefore, the inverted knowledge of the only truth is called ignorance. In the desire realm, the action of conduct, as the substance of the cause, whatever approaches going to the desire realm by merit, those are the fabrications that approach merit. Because it does not conform to merit, it is non-merit, and among them, whatever fabrications go to the lower realms, those are the ones that approach non-merit. Immovability is the fabrications that have become the cause of those of the form and formless realms, which are the ones that approach immovability. Or, whatever fabrications have become merit and are ripe, those are the ones that approach merit, which is the word called merit. Others should also be understood in the same way. What is consciousness conditioned by fabrication? This is the remainder of the sentence, which should be stated. From the fabrications that approach merit, it becomes the consciousness that approaches merit. From the fabrications that approach non-merit, it becomes the consciousness that approaches non-merit. From the fabrications that approach immovability, it becomes the consciousness that approaches immovability, this is called consciousness conditioned by fabrication. That is to say, because the consciousness that is completely imbued with the three types of fabrications such as merit, goes in the three paths such as merit, as the substance of the cause or as the fruit of maturation, therefore it is fabrication-conditioned.

It will be called consciousness. The reason why this is called "name and form due to consciousness" is that when the maturation of consciousness and the maturation of name and form appear simultaneously, it is fully grasped and grows. Therefore, because it arises from the cause of consciousness that is cultivated by meritorious deeds and other actions, it grows by its power, so it is accomplished simultaneously with it, that is, name and form due to consciousness. The so-called "from the gate of the six sense bases" means that the need to perform actions such as seeing with the eyes and so on is fulfilled. The so-called "collection of six touches" refers to the touch from the gathering of the eye to the touch from the gathering of the mind. It also arises from the gathering of the three. Some say that the cause of the arising of feelings such as suffering is another dharma arising from the mind. But from the gathering of the three itself, it is not another thing. The so-called "how" refers to how to determine the nature of the cause that can produce the form of feeling. Those differences of feeling, namely, experiencing, manifesting joy, especially clinging, especially clinging and abiding, are the differences of small, medium, excellent, and extremely excellent craving. These four belong to the category. Or, when experiencing a pleasant feeling, it is called experiencing. When experiencing suffering, the mind gives rise to longing for it, which is manifesting joy. A feeling that is neither suffering nor happiness is especially clinging in the future. Not wanting to be separated from it now is especially clinging and abiding. Suffering itself is the nature of suffering, and the nature of happiness is also the same. Suffering is desire. Happiness is harmony. The form of longing for suffering things in the future is taking. It is also said that initiating the action of generating existence means awakening. Growth and completion means that there is growth, and what is completed later is the characteristic of joy. Destruction from it is the characteristic of death. Thus, it is a summary, showing the characteristic of being free from the two extremes.
