Because "I" is the nature of selflessness, there is no "mine" of I. The so-called "non-attachment" is because "I" is blessed by anything. These are about showing selflessness in a person. The so-called "same as space" is because its nature is emptiness. If someone thinks, how can this be in accordance with dependent origination? The sutra says, regarding the illusory nature, etc. For example, although illusion does not have a nature in the ultimate truth, it has arising because the causes and conditions are not lacking, similarly, all things are not contradictory. This shows the selflessness of all dharmas. If the seeds, consciousness, afflictions, and karma that are accumulated, without a master, selfless, without a maker, then once the sprout of name and form manifests and is accomplished, then, because everything exists, many lifetimes will also manifest and be accomplished simultaneously. Therefore, in order to avoid the doubt that differences cannot be obtained from birth to feeling, etc., although there is no author and is selfless, in order to explain the difference between karma and result, four examples that correspond to the four types are shown. Among them, the example of eye consciousness shows the karma that will be experienced in this life. The example of the image shows the karma that will be experienced after birth, because it is close to it. The example of the moon shows the karma that will be experienced in other times, even if the time is long, the substance of the cause seems close. The example of fire shows the karma that is not certain whether it will be experienced, if the cause exists, it will burn, otherwise it will not, this shows the uncertainty of time. All of these explain that, although accumulated by many seed consciousnesses, without an author, selfless, constantly existing, however, whichever karma's habit is awakened, the cause that arises together with it exists, then that habit is awakened, and from that, that completely ripened fruit will manifest and be accomplished. Therefore, even if there is no master, etc., there can be different karmas such as long and near, this is not a fault. "Observing in five ways," etc., is to eliminate the view of permanence, etc., here in a negative way.

To! The existence of birth and death is extremely different, so it is impermanent. Like the arising of illusion, the existence of death in the conventional truth ceases, and at the same time, the existence of the intermediate state arises and is accomplished, so it is not annihilation. This is also illustrated by the example of a balance scale. When one end of the balance scale is low, the other end will rise. Similarly, when the cause is destroyed, the result will arise, so it will not be annihilated. This example of the balance scale is also given to completely abandon the view of annihilation of cause and effect in the conventional truth, but it is not so in the ultimate truth. In the ultimate truth, the external object of form cannot establish a balance scale, because the form that appears in consciousness is not real, and consciousness has no body, so high and low cannot be established. In the contemplation of the ultimate truth, one cannot use real things of the conventional truth as metaphors, because that cannot be established. In this way, the reality of cause and effect is just as it appears. The so-called "dissimilar" refers to being born from the same kind as humans to the same kind as gods. The so-called "from small deeds" means that even if one acts in a moment with afflictions and strong faith, one will not suffer for a long time in the Avici hell and other places because of unwholesome deeds, and the desired fruition will manifest and be accomplished. The so-called "how to experience karma" refers to the experience of happiness and so on, showing that whatever kind of karma will produce whatever kind of result. Even if accompanied by suffering and displeasure, from virtuous deeds such as celibacy, the desired fruition will be accomplished, and even if accompanied by happiness and joy, from non-celibate and other unwholesome deeds, the undesired fruition will manifest and be accomplished. Therefore, because the ability is certain, the karma of how to experience will experience the result in that way, without contradiction. Starting from this, the Blessed One said in other sutras: "If someone says that whatever kind of karma this person creates, he will experience the fruition in that way, then there is no place for celibacy, and one cannot truly extinguish suffering."
