The occasion for doing things at the very end is not apparent. Some say, "How will this man, this person, experience the karma that he is creating, etc.? He will experience the ripening in this way." If they say that, then the place of pure conduct exists, and the occasion for completely ceasing suffering is also apparent. This is also said to be a slander against karma and its results, and it is said to eliminate wrong views. Some, with "someone," etc., show the intention of the sutras. "Constant" and "permanent" mean seeing at all times and without interruption. "Lifeless," etc., is as previously explained. "Nonexistent" means because it is false like a dream. "Weak" means small, because it cannot bear the burden of observing like an illusion. "Hollow" means like a mirage, because the realm of existence, things, do not exist. "Without essence" means like the stem of a lotus, because there is no substance inside that has become the essence. "Disease" means experiencing happiness only slightly, but actually suffering from suffering itself. "Sore" means harming like a sore with suffering itself. "Dart" means that because it always has the suffering of formation itself, it is unwanted by the noble ones. "Sin" means that because it has become a sin, it should be abandoned. "Impermanent" means that it is the nature of arising and ceasing. "Suffering" means because it is incompatible. "Empty" means because I have not blessed it. "Selfless" means because it is not itself. "Did I exist in the past? Or did I not exist?" This is not ignorance of having a self, because nothing will become me, etc., and also because it has previously been exhausted in the same way as this cause. "What did it become?" refers to gods and humans. "What did it become like?" refers to happiness and suffering, long life and short life, what is the name, what did the lineage become, what is the color, where does it live.

There is no confusion about the distinctions of my place, such as having become the earth, and similarly, it is also combined with the later limit. Since there is no incomplete cause, it is not contradictory for the form of the result to arise in that way, so the middle limit is shown. What is this called, is it mine or not mine? What is this like, is it that I think that I, is it with form or without form? What is there, is it doing good deeds, or is it doing evil deeds? And so on. What will become, from this life what will I become in the next life? Will I do good deeds, or will I do evil deeds? And so on, there will be no confusion about my place and the place of others in the three times. In order to show that everything is in accordance with selflessness and dependent origination. It is said where these sentient beings come from, etc., because it is easy to understand the words, so it is explained in this way. All monks are renunciates. Brahmins are householders, who are known in the world by the distinction of caste. Going to see refers to the way of seeing. Different refers to each. Having the saying of I, refers to those who have the thought that I am other than the aggregates, or not other, etc., because I am the object of self-grasping, so because of this, monks and brahmins argue with each other. Living by refers to life. Taking again and again in samsara, so it is a person. Having auspiciousness refers to like that, because it is said that stories, past events, songs, dances, etc. will make me happy, so it is because of manifesting attachment. Having the saying of auspiciousness refers to serving Durva grass, cow-yellow, etc., and seeing yogurt, flowers, full bottles, fish and brahmins, cow-kings, etc., and stars, moments, dates, the distinctions of combination, I will become pure, thus being arrogant, because they cling to the non-path as the path. It is the view of holding discipline and asceticism as supreme, clinging to I is the root. Especially, moving away from shaking and shaking.

That is, "the mind expands and shrinks," these are the differences in views. "Having abandoned" means because it does not arise at all. "Having fully known" means knowing that the objects mistaken as self, etc., are not true. "Cutting from the root" means because the noble wisdom completely eliminates the habitual tendencies. "Not appearing" means because it will never appear in the mind again. "Later" means other lifetimes. "Becoming the nature of not being born and not ceasing" means because the root has been cut from the root, if there is no birth, there is no cessation. Because they have abandoned the view of self, cleared away all the afflictions at its root, and eliminated the obscurations, therefore, its fruit is shown closely. Entering the path of non-abiding nirvana is also its fruit. It is shown by "predicting the unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment," because the prediction is made to those who abide in that path. "Having spoken thus" means that with a true summary, this word has passed, showing it as a reliable teaching. The rejoicing of the noble Shariputra and others shows that the whole world should accept this teaching. I have explained the meaning of this sutra extensively to the best of my ability, may all beings be able to understand this profound truth of the Dharma through this merit! The Extensive Commentary on the Holy Sal Tree King Sutra, composed by the teacher Kamalashila, is completed.
