Therefore, like this, because of being skilled in faults, in order to be separated from all elaborations, one makes the practice of emptiness as yoga. Because of practicing emptiness a lot, the mind engages in which and which places, for that and those places where the mind is manifestly delighted, if one completely searches for the nature, one will realize emptiness. Whatever is the mind, if one also completely examines it, one will realize emptiness. Whatever the mind uses to completely examine, if one also completely searches, one will realize emptiness. Having realized it like that, one makes the signless as yoga, thus it is said. Also, in the Holy Jewel Heap Sutra, it says: By abiding in discipline, one also obtains samadhi. Having obtained samadhis, one cultivates wisdom exceedingly. By wisdom, one obtains completely pure wisdom. Thus it is said. Also, in the Holy Sutra Unraveling of Intent, it says: By contemplation, one completely destroys the afflictions. By wisdom, one completely abandons the latent tendencies. Thus it is said. Also, in the Holy King of Samadhi Sutra, it says: If one individually realizes the selflessness of phenomena, individually examines that, if it is meditation, that itself is the cause for obtaining the fruit of nirvana. Whatever other cause there is, that will not become peaceful. Thus it is said. Also in this very text, it says: If one abides in those states, how does one enter the realm of non-conceptualization by closely examining them? It will be said below. Therefore, the characteristic of perfect discrimination is considered here as non-attention. Although that is the nature of discrimination, nevertheless, the fire of true wisdom arising from that itself will burn it, just as the fire arising from rubbing two pieces of wood burns those two pieces of wood. Therefore, wishing to generate non-conceptual wisdom, one should first cultivate the characteristic of perfect discrimination, vipassana, thereby one will completely abandon the signs. For that, when a yogi meditates, one should completely grasp everything that needs to be done at the beginning, with the thought of eliminating all the thorns of sound and going to a place that is in harmony with the mind, manifesting great compassion, prostrating to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and all the Bodhisattvas residing in all directions, drawing the image into a picture.

Or anything else, place it in front of you. Then, offer to them as much as you can, confessing sins and rejoicing in merits. Without opening your eyes too wide, look at the tip of your nose and straighten your body. Sit comfortably on a cushion with the mindfulness generated by drawing inwards in either the full lotus posture, half lotus posture, or any posture that is comfortable. Or, abide in whatever posture you like and meditate solely on that. There, settle your mind on the appearance of the signs as previously shown, pacifying sinking and excitement, etc. In order to cultivate calm abiding, do not attend to the characteristic of accurate discrimination, thereby completely abandoning those signs. There, discriminate in the manner of ascertaining the meaning of what has been heard and thought, cultivate dependent arising, or discriminate the absence of coming and going, or examine that which does not arise from self, other, or both, or discriminate the parts. In short, however you discriminate, you should discriminate in such a way that faith in the absence of things arises. Then, when abandoning that, one in a hundred yogis will think: 'These aggregates of appropriation, such as form, although they are unborn in the ultimate sense, the perfections such as giving are definitely born.' Otherwise, the antidotes to miserliness and so forth of the bodhisattvas, and the attainment of great enjoyment and so forth, and that which becomes a collection for enlightenment, would not have been taught by the Bhagavan. Then, if that conceptualization universally arises, then it is not entering into the all-gone non-conceptual state. Therefore, likewise, this conceptualization should also be abandoned by the yogi by not attending to it, thus it is shown. By gradually abandoning those signs of conceptualization in their own nature, and so forth, these perfections are antidotes, because they have become antidotes to miserliness and so forth, and to the obscurations of afflictions and so forth, apply them as is appropriate. When abiding in yoga, since all phenomena are unborn, the yogi should not manifestly cling to them as things in themselves, and that conceptualization.
